I was Just listening too this little tune on youtube....Not a bad song, I like the vocals from both of them. The song never gets mentioned so always passed on it, but I actually like it. Another song outside of Queen I like From Freddie. I like his solo stuff. Even though Mr. BAD Guy was a weak album, it had some good songs as well. Now the haters will come after me... Tell me how horrible the song is haters! VH?

A good start for a new topic ...

But It's ok for certain people to start a thread about other members? Starting a thread Happystarr was clearly ok? Anyway, stay on topic....do you think it's a decent tune or no? I think it went top 10 in Germany.

You could have ignored my post, but instead put the focus on the overblown feud ... anyway, I will answer both of your questions:

It is "clearly ok" to start a thread about a certain person who derailed the ABBA topic (and other topics) with his abusive unrelated rants (finally thankfully deleted) about the current lead singer of Queen.

"Baby this song is something" (tolerable), but I think this song is too long and repetitive, and it might have been better to "Hold On" 'and fade out the song during the guitar solo.

Never heard it or of it. Probably won't bother either.

And can the children present please stop with the petty digs at each other.

Grow up.

A nice little song that would've been right at home on AKOM. Gets a bit shouty towards the end but has enough little bits to keep it interesting.

It's on his 10CD/2DVD Solo Collection (2000). I've only listened to it a couple of times. It's okay but it's not a song i will listen to daily.

It is repetitive, but the chorus is catchy....It would have been nice on Magic. Better than pain and pleasure.

I agree!

I agree.....I actually like most of his work outside of Queen...yea, Bad Guy didn't work out but like you said, Great Pretender, Time, In My Defense...Barcelona, even hold On was decent. Obviously " Queen were better together", but to say Freddie recorded all crap outside of Queen in my view is false. His vocals on "everyone Of Us" is one of his best with cliff Richard.

I like the song but I talked to Jo before and she is strange.

She's active on youtube.....she actually commented on the video talking about her experience with Freddie and how they met. You should check that out...she has nothing but good things to say about Freddie. They met In Munich, she was working on songs in the studio when Freddie walked In. They became good friends.

It's an ok song, which I quite liked.

Freddie seemed to be at his best when he had people around him who could push him and get the best out of him. It's why Queen were so good, they got the best out of each other and therefore the band.

happystar's list actually proves the point, they are all good songs but not really Freddie working solo, or writing solo. The Barcelona album is brilliant because he was working, and for part of it co writing with people of equal talent to his. Mr Bad Guy was written by him, the songs are good but the musical performances and production is almost dull in places because he had nothing to prove and no one to better him in the studio.

Of course.....That's like taking something away from Elton because he had someone write his lryics...Isn't that co writing with another talent? Of course he was better when recording with other talents instead of the crap musicans he picked for his solo album. We all know they were best together, but my only point is that I think his work outside of Queen was good. Not all crap like some say. Only some of it was crap like Let's Turn It On.....??
