This alternate source of the first of four nights at Wembley Arena is a considerable upgrade. Although it's a direct copy of the master tape, it has unfortunately been converted to mp3, and this is all the taper would let out. After doing a couple slight fixes, I converted it to FLAC for the sake of not losing quality - but this is NOT lossless. It's the best existing source of this show, either way.

There is a bit of tape warble in the last couple tracks. Otherwise the sound is stable and excellent.

Thanks to Harry for tape, and the taper for the transfer !

Sounds distorted. Not bad, but wouldn't describe this sound as excellent. Not even for an 80s tape.

Maybe I listened to that 5-13-78 tape one too many times, and my ears are blocked ! Developing bootleg ears has its downfalls, I guess.

Haha that's true.

I tape a lot of shows and with modern days equipment distortion doesn't really happen (if you know how to properly use your gear).
Guess I have bootleg ears as well.

The show is still nice to have in the collection for 'Not Fade Away'
