sealion Queen + is crap and you know it. Queen is purely 1971 to 1991 end of. [/QUOTE]
No, I don‘t. Yes, I thought Queen was over after 1991. And more so after 1997. I didn‘t even care to attend a show with PR. And AL was a no-go until my kids got me tickets for my birthday 3 years ago (Dad is a Queen fan, you know?). After an old friend simply asked me to go and try it, I went with my kids - AND absolutely enjoyed it.
No, I’m my opinion Q+AL is great. And since I did see Queen in the old days, you can believe me, that the show is as big as ever. „Only“ the band has changed in parts. By now, I can live with that.
To me, the best about these shows is the joy, that I could see on the beaming faces of Brian, Roger and my (teenage) kids. I‘ve never seen the old guys as happy on a stage as they seem to be now.
Well you know why Brian & Roger are so happy for because Freddie is gone and they can do what they want when they want.
Freddie was always in charge and dismissed many of Brian's ideas and he hated that.

Of course... YOU must know...
I blame it on them getting wiser and more grateful with age.
Well John Deacon is the only wise surviving member of Queen and at least he can hold his head up high, were May & Taylor have trashed Queen and stamped on that band that Freddie nourished and cared for.
and now anyone can join them on stage like trashy contestants on "Britain's got talent"

John retiring had nothing to do with the current set up and you know it. It wasn't Britains got Talent, not that it matters since Adam can sing rings around most people regardless where he found fame and that is all those shows are, a platform to get noticed nothing to do with talent or lack of, you get a multitude of wannabe's mixed in with the odd seriously talented person who can't get a foot in the industry door.
But Sealion pointed out the main thing - "To me, the best about these shows is the joy, that I could see on the beaming faces of Brian, Roger and my (teenage) kids. I‘ve never seen the old guys as happy on a stage as they seem to be now." Even Peter Freestone said he'd never seen them so happy. As a fan I get a kick out of seeing that and it's one thing that gets commented on a lot on social media after the shows.
Again that is your opinion but many many fans do not want anything to do with this limp set up.
i am a purist Queen fan always will be and with out Freddie and john that magic is lost forever.
Many do want it, though. Queen and AL have been touring almost half as long as Queen did with Freddie, and they appear to sell out their venues every time. It seems they're never off the road, and folk are lapping it up. Not my cup of tea, but I did give it a chance first - and there are many, many die-hard Queen fans who attend on a regular basis because they still want to see Brian and Roger. You prefer the old era, we get it - but there's only so many times you can state your point and it's daft to tell folk they're not really fans because they go along to the new shows. You state elsewhere it's all about sales, and I think the ticket sales with AL speaks for itself. Again, not my cup of tea, but these are the facts in front of you.
To each their own!
Thistleboy, the line "these are the facts in front of you" is a dangerous thingbto post. Surley you can't have forgotten happystar doesn't like or understand facts
I'm hoping he takes it on board. I'm gonna lay off him.
Thistleboy: May i ask do you honestly think Adam would sell as many tickets on his own if Queen were not part of the deal?
Vocal Harmony: I do listen and and take on board everyone's facts otherwise i would not reply back, so come on there is no need to blow your own trumpet.
I think this thread has accurately answered its own question.
AL was selling out venues before he joined Queen, but that is not the point, and you've twisted what has been said. You said many fans are not interested. I've shown you many are. There's no real way to take this any further.
