Thsitleboy Yeah i think we should debate this as your always wanting substance in my posts so here goes.
You say you think AL would sell out venues on his own well actually i do not because i think the name Queen attracts a lot more people than you give them credit for.
May & Taylor are legendary rock musicians and as so attract a lot of peoples attention, Lambert on the other hand has a lot of girls who lust after him as he is supposed to be the ultimate pretty boy.
Put the two together and yeah sold out venues. Now we all know Queen do not need AL to sell out but i think Lambert needs Queen very badly for with out them i think he would be stale meat very quickly.

More Lambert bashing??
1. Nobody said, that Queen doesn‘t attract more people than Lambert.
2. Lambert‘s solo concerts are most often sold out.
3. From a first hand witness: I can tell you, that a Lambert audience is the most diverse I‘ve ever seen. From age 10 to 80, female, male, straight, gay, rock guys and hippies. And everything in between. Oh, and also a whole lot of (male) Queen fans. At least in London. (I accompanied my teenage daughter.)
4. Queen doesn‘t necessarily need Lambert to sell out a big arena. BUT they do need a frontman. Roger and Brian chose him. It works and they are happy. So that‘s it.
5. Why are YOU always dragging his name into your posts in this Queen section?
sealion you are biased as you are a Lambert fan so your comments are always going to stick up for the cheap singer that he is.
It would be nice to hear from those members on here that never get a chance to air there views.
Lambert may be your world but he is not a patch on Freddie who incidentally has his name on the rock n roll hall of fame!

That's not substance. That's you just saying you "don't think". I've just told you that AL does sell out venues when he plays solo shows (which again isn't the point).
Your other thread, and this one (partially) talks about whether the ticket prices are worth it, and whether there's a demand for Queen and AL. The fact that they're still on the road, selling out date after date in numerous continents show YES and YES.
And Sealion is correct in that his audience is extremely diverse.
That's maybe not the answer you want, but it's the answer.
Like I say, you can't take that any further. It's just your opinion versus what is fact.

And doesn't your comment here show the opposite, an unrational hate (when added to all your other remarks) towards Lambert.
Also just because some accompanies his daughter to a show, it doesn't automatically make him a fan. He maybe but he may not be.
Another view is the one that I have, I enjoy what Queen and AL do live, but that doesn't make me a fan of his outside that working arangment.

LOL. I‘m a Lambert fan? I don‘t own one single album of his. I only know him through Queen.
I‘m a fan of the collaboration. And of Queen.
But believe me: I have a whole lot more respect for him than for you. This and the fact, that I really like the current concerts, make me stick up for them. Even, if it is actually senseless, because you don‘t want to hear anything of it.
Good luck with attracting other fans to voice their opinion on Lambert concerts versus QAL concerts. Because fans, who are not interested in QAL, won‘t know about the attendance at both. And if they are sensible, they omit to look into a thread, in which‘s topic they aren‘t interested in.
Maybe you should start these kind of discussions in the Q+ section. Since you always drag AL into every second post...
Sealion: yeah i am not one little bit interested in Lambert because he has not done anything worthy of my respect.
He sings Queens songs for a living so what?
Many tribute bands sing Queen songs and do a better job as i have seen a few, over the years.
But you are entitled to your opinion as i am to mine,
Horses for courses as they say ! lol
Yeah, you are entitled to your opinion. We established that a long time ago and never denied you it. But repeating it over and over again is not adding anything to any discussion or the forum. I'm not having a go, I just don't see the point in you doing it, as we know your stance on the matter. We get it. For the record, AL doesn't just sing Queen songs for a living. He does his own shows, has his own albums, has introduced his own solo stuff into the collaboration and his fans have been introduced to Queen as a result of the collaboration. That's a new fanbase right there for the greatest rock band of all time, and people who appreciate both sides of the story. That's great, imo.
Not being funny, but have you thought about just starting a blog? You can air all your views, exactly how you see it all, and it may attract similar minded people who won't debate what you're saying (or ask for your reasons behind statements) - they'll just agree with you.
You can start free sites on lots of places. Here's an article on what, where and how....https://bit.ly/2LdsGkE
I'm not saying don't be on here, btw. QZ is a great place for healthy debate and sharing stuff, we don't need to turn it into a stale rant or a place for infighting everyday.
Thistleboy Maybe i do repeat myself but so do the glamberts and every day especially sweetcaroline , snifflese, rockchic, sealion, and they do not get slated by other Queenzone members.
Maybe it should be the minority which are are the Glamberts that should find there own blog as Queenzone was always here before Lambert came on to the scene and i mean we never got snowballed with Paul Rodgers fans clogging this site up did we now?
Queenzone for Queen only fans i say !
Look, there's no need to single folk out. They're mostly on the right section for the discussion and only defend AL here when you bring it up. And maybe, just maybe, they are Queen fans also. It's not for you to say they are or they aren't. You have your opinion, but it doesn't make you right.
I'm not being funny when I say start a blog. Surely you can see that repeating yourself, and goading them into repeating their views here is just useless and doesn't add anything.
I really want to give you the benefit of the doubt, but are you sure you're not purposely just trying to get a rise out of folk?

Happy - Why do you insist anyone liking the collaboration are glamberts? Sealion has just pointed out he's a Queen fan and only heard of Adam through the collaboration and doesn't listen to Adam's solo stuff nor follow him outside of the collaboration, that to me doesn't say glambert. I also only heard of him through the collaboration and although I do like some of his solo stuff and do follow him on Twitter since I like to keep up with what's going on with QAL and any promo etc he might be doing I'm not into knowing his every move or what's going on in his private life so I'd hardly class myself as a glambert either. I know you find it hard to believe any Queen fan could be on board with this or like Adam in any capacity but the fact is some do. No one's expecting you to but it's pointless to keep saying anyone who does is a glambert. And it's already been pointed out there's a QAL section for posts about them, it's hardly our fault if people start threads in the wrong section.
Rockchic: You are a glambert because most of your posts come to Lambert's rescue every time some one goes against him you are there constantly defending him.
You are hardly on any other Queen threads but you are 99% on the Lambert threads ! You sound quite embarrassed when i call you a glambert, mind you compared to other artists out there who earn an honest living and not singing other peoples back catalogues you should be.

Not embarrassed I just don't consider myself a typical glambert but if it makes you happy to call me that it won't bother me.
I defend him because IMO he get's irrational hate by a few for no good reason. Whether I liked his voice or not or liked him performing with Brian & Roger or not I still wouldn't think bad of him since there's nothing to hate, he's a genuinely decent guy who's nothing but respectful towards the band and Freddie's memory, he has a great personality and is making Brian & Roger happy.
I live in the present maybe more than some Queen fans and I admit I don't know all the minutiae about the band so on the Queen threads I don't really have a lot to contribute, although I do read them since I'm always open to learning new stuff about them. I've been a fan of their music since 1974 but I've never really been someone who needed to know every little thing about the band members to appreciate the music.
Rockchic65 well that is good to know that you have been a Queen admirer as long as myself then.
Many Adam fans dismiss the bands past and ignore the amazing things Freddie and Queen achieved in the 20 years they were together.
