I am so sick of explaining how to post clickable links I will just do them myself.. anyway.. Queen couldn't touch Slade in the 70's. Regardless of their success I still think they are the most underrated British band ever. Bangin' Man is the best guitar riff of all time.

Got it moog re clickable links. :)

The mirrored hat story is funny regardless of whether one has heard of or likes Noddy.

Thanks MisterCosmicc. Good read!

I'm sure there are several other stories like this. It must've been a running joke in the industry once the weirdo off that stall in kensington made it big.

Yeah, He must have been quite a well known weirdo with his stall selling old clothes, art work and his dreams of making it big.

Mooghead While Slade where a great group in the 70s it was Sweet that accused Queen of ripping them off.
On the backone of the Sweet albums on vinyl they put a picture of a wall and on the wall it read "Queen are a bunch of w***ers !
Sadly the cd versions had that erased.
Sweet were a brilliant group and for me had more appeal than Slade.

Same.

Although that's not to say I reject Slade totally. I love that era.

Sweet were very good but didn't know how to adapt to changing music trends, Queen did although sometimes went in terrible directions...
