Is screaming and performing like a drag queen better than the genius of Mr Mercury sorry I am laughing here...bit silly to think such a nothing. I never ever hear the name Of Adam Lambert in greatest vocalist debates ever! I don't want to bash AL he is a nice singer in the studio etc.. But we are on a different level when we mention the name Freddie Mercury.
Classy, with the gay-slur and all. You do realize Freddie liked to dress up in drag and called men by women's names, right?
Yeah, I've never understood the drag queen ( and worse) comments about Lambert. Some idiot on anther thread claimed Freddie did everything with humour and AL does it in seriousness. Not sure how that conclusion was drawn.

Freddie only dressed up in drag because of I want to break Free He had a lot of images for different videos, and Freddie was worth a million of Adam Lamberts.
Yes Freddie called guys by womans names so nothing wrong with that, He was a flamboyant character and very artistic. Lambert on the other hand has no original dress sense and has copied everything from the last 44 years that has already been done from Freddie to Boy George.
So it's ok for one particular gay guy to ham it up but not another. Freddie actually got into drag for two videos and appeared on stage in a wig and false tits, so kind of more extreme than Lambert.
Also don't try to rewrite history, Bowie, Roxy Music and Marc Bolan were tarting themselves up before Queen. Freddie invented nothing in that respect, h also went on to "borrow" the leather look from Rob Halford, Presley and a number of others form the 50's 60's and 70's.
Your wide spread comments on this narrow subject are flawed and you're appearing to know less and less about everything you post.

Yep. Also, the Rolling Stones appeared in drag in 1966 to promote their song "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadow?"
And whether Fred acknowledged it or not, Mick Jagger was an influence on his stage presence and outfits.

How do you know Mick Jagger was an influence of Freddies? Lambert is not creative but a parrot copying generations gone by, at least Freddie wrote his own songs and achieved having written the greatest song in existence Bohemian Rhapsody. Could Miss Lambert write a note i dont think so. Lambert is in your face with his sexuality but Freddie was more reserved, and many interviews i hear Lambert making issues about his sexuality then he drags Freddie in to it to justify his own, sad american fag.

Yep. If Mercury is known for one thing, it was subtlety.

Because I have looked at their performances and formed an opinion as such.

AL can't rock.

#4. Flat out, Adam is a better singer than Freddie.
Will you be treading the boards at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe next year? If so, there's an award waiting for you. Good God.

Adam Lambert dances like a 300 lb 60 year old. He seems like he’s not confident about dancing. He lacks energy. He moves way less than Freddie aside from the Elvis hip thrusting and that’s just boring.
Adam is a great pop singer, but he’s not a great rock singer. Freddie is great at anything he sings.

People of QZ...ionlylikeadam is a troll who posted this ( and took it from another board, so likely not even this posters own thoughts, who before in another post couldn't even get Freddie's name spelled right, and wanted AL to be in the biopic.

Holy fuck sir.
I made it to point 4. I've not had much to do with Queen + but caught their show at this years TRNSMT and I can tell you that Adam Lambert, while an impressive vocalist in his own right, is not in the same league either as a singer or as a performer, as Freddie Mercury,
I'm all for everyone having their own beliefs, opinions...but I genuinely believe you've dangled a carrot in the hope you'd get all of this reaction. Unfortunately I've taken the bate, but if any of your loved ones seen you type some of that out, you'd have received a smack to the teeth.

Dean: Adam Lambert is a complete insult to the memory of Freddie Mercury, he was just a nobody when Brian May who made the biggest mistake of his life since "Smile" took this mixed up freak on board to stand in front of Freddie's fans telling them all he aint copying Freddie and he admires him blah blah blah, what a load of bollocks.
He still takes the money though, and after many years of destroying Queen he still stands on that stage blabbering on about about " oh i am not copying of Freddie" What a sad screwed up fat old queen with no talent.

Dean: Freddy isn't better than Adam Lambert. Freddy is a complete insult to music and Queen should re-record all the albums with Adam. FACT. The biggest mistake of Smile was to accept Fredderick as their leadsinger. He was too gay and looked like a middle-eastern girl.
That's a bit harsh, don'tcha think?
