The absolute low of this forum

I read through some topics on QZ today and was absolutely shocked to read this post:

For those, who don't know: the 'fuhrer" comes from the German word "Führer", which was and is used by nazis and neo-nazis for Adolf Hitler.
I had asked the poster twice to explain his post. He just mocked me. *

I find this post absolutely disgusting! The poster compared Freddie to the most evil person of the last century. A person, under who's reign Freddie would most possibly and probably not have had survived, had he lived in that time. - Not with Freddies heritage and lifestyle.

I noticed, that a lot is wrong here lately.
You can see above, that even this short post contents also an insult against women. If you care to look closer into this poster's (and one or two other poster's) remarks in other threads, they are regularly posting insults. They don't accept other opinions. Homophobic insults (mostly against Lambert) get posted on a daily basis. The haters always deny that. They try to hide it behind accepted critique of AL's voice or behavior on stage. But sometimes they let it slip. However,I don't care, if they like AL or not.

I do care about Queen. This looks like a neo-nazi is openly posting here. I find this kind of post should not me accepted. It throws a bad light on us as fans, if we let this dreck write on here.

My conclusion:
I don't want to be associated with this any longer. I will read here from time to time, because I love Queen, have been a fan for more than 40 years, and find some topics interesting.

But for now, I will call it quit. I hope, the mods will change something for the sake of it. I know a lot of Queen fans personally and like to meet other fans at gigs. It's a shame, that some keyboard fighters try to rule this forum - and are pretty successful.

PS - I imagine Freddie a few jokes about Hitler and Jews in his day. He seemed to have that kind of sense of humor...

One can certainly mock Hitler, or shall I say must mock Hitler all the time, because he was cartoon-character, an idiot. As all nationalists and racists are. But making fun of Jews? What is this forum? A pub containing drunken Brexiters?

Some people think I'm the worst of the worst. Even I know better than to use that word to describe Freddie, or anyone else in the world of showbiz...or outside of it.

The "wonderful" times of death threats, "funny" pictures (emails like "Go Fuck a horse!" with an attached picture of a woman sucking a horse's penis, or animated gifs made out of snuff films). And no, that post is definitely not the absolute low of this forum, I remember much worse from the times when the first Paul Rodgers tour was announced, or the first QPR album, or the first Adam Lambert tour ...

No, not really. Fuehrer means literally "leader", it's not used by nazis and neo-nazis, it's used by everybody as it was his title during WWII. It's also commonly used to ironically call somebody a boss or a leader.

This is the reason why I decided to respond. I HATE people who use tactics like this - insulting people who are rude to them and calling them nazis, and then trying to get them banned. Don't get me wrong - I think it's OK to ban people who do something illegal (talking from memory there were people here posting terrorist threats, death threats and links to child porn sites), but trying to ban somebody because s/he writes something you don't like?

Ignore him/her? It's easy, I didn't know that such a person exists until I opened this thread. Or argue with him/her and if s/he has some dumb opinions, challenge them and try to change his mind?

I think that all members should be get a little calm and accept that all people don't think same.

When I came here I was posting in some old threads and someone called me a fool or a troll but I wrote in old threads because I love Queen and Freddie, I love their music. I was thinking then that I no longer participate in the topics but I changed my mind because I realized that leave for that reason is impulsive and very childish. And so, I am here for more than a year. :) :)

About Adam, I think criticisms about him have nothing to do with homophobia. Freddie was gay also.
