RIP

When thinking of her i see charming humor.
She did for sure enjoyed Singing with Freddie a lot.
God bless her. Such sad news.
This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net
Only two ridiculously larger than life characters like Fred and Montserrat could even conceive of an album like Barcelona. And they got away with it because of their remarkable talent and audacity.
"Queen is the only band in the world that can play so heavily that your nose bleeds, then offer a silk handkerchief to clean up with."
Viper and Holly, you're absolutely right.. Hell...I almost posted a "what's going on with Montserrat" thread last week.

I listen to that album on a nearly daily basis (sure, I haven't added many new tunes to my phone, but I ALSO won't skip any of those tracks when it comes up.)

I'm grateful Freddie introduced this voice and artist to the world of rock and roll
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"
thanks for posting. sad news and I enjoyed all the Freddie interviews re Barcelona
Very sad. Barcelona is one of my favourite albums in any genre. I adore it enormously. Next week is 30 years since the album was released and I wanted to listen to Barcelona to celebrate this fact.
RIP :(

I hear she was Paul Rodgers' favourite singer!

Well said.

I didn't know of the album until after Freddie's passing. The title track has a special meaning for my wife and I, and the title track was the first song we played in the limo after our wedding 16 years ago.
