All about the cash! That's how they make(more) money these days and since they are still selling they continue to do it, if it was about the music we would have seen more solo albums etc.
Do you actually think they need more money? It's just two old guys doing what they know and like doing while they can still stand on their feet. Of course it's not about music anymore. But they clearly enjoy playing the old stuff and many people enjoy seeing them, so why not.
Exactly! They don't need the money. They are musicians and are doing what they love to do, and people are enjoying watching them do it. Keep the music alive because soon they won't be able to do it anymore.
Regarding not needing more money, maybe you should check out BM's latest soapbox and see all the great products he's promoting that you can buy for Christmas............... :)

I think days there's a lot more profits in concerts than releasing live albums/anthology.
Yes there is more money to be made from touring then record sales, in most cases.
But in order to take advantage of that you have to keep the costs down, Queen are not doing that. They've got a huge show which needs a big crew. Wage costs, transport, video, lighting, sound and staging all cost huge amounts to hire for a tour. Then to keep the equipment stored and the crew paid on retainers while there are gaps in the tour all add to the cost.
These tours are not purely a money making exercise, if they were they'd spend less on actually staging the events.
As I understand it, the whole thing is going to be based around holograms.
Brian c1977
Freddie c1974
Roger c1991
John c1986 with mandatory bollock hanging.
The only "live" musician will be Spike Edney, but he, in fact will be portrayed by Kerry Ellis via a 4K UHD Skype link.

Growing up as a Queen fan in the 90's and 00's I never thought I'd read a post of someone complaining that Queen (in whatever shape or form) was touring YET AGAIN. Jesus. Fucking. Christ.
To this date I still fondly remember Brian's Soapbox post from December 10th, 2004 when he first announced they would be touring with Paul Rodgers in the spring. Fast forward to April, I had traveled across the world to see my idols perform and I met them in person in Prague.
I won't be doing international trips to see them anymore but rest assured that if "the circus" comes back to town in 2019 anywhere near me, I'll be there.

Kid,they've deceived you coz this is not Queen.
Queen are Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor, Brian May.
Don't you mean Queen was Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor, Brian May and Mike Grose? He was their original bass player.

There won't be a Queen tour in 2019 as the last one was in 1986 and the band doesn't exist anymore.
I guess you mean the mediocre cover band "Queen+"?
Thanks - what has this QAL crap to to in the Queen section???? Move it over to QAL crappola
