Hey guys!
I'm glad to announce my first contribution in this community!
I decided to create a definitive edition of Golders Green Hippodrome '73 because I wanted to share a little part of my Queen collection :).
I used Queen On Air and the bootleg Queen On The Green. Enjoy!

I'm looking forward getting some feedback from you! :)

My 14th version of this show. Thanks for compiling this !

The info file says you used the Queen On The Green bootleg. Was that released on CD? I thought it was only released on vinyl.

This is interesting because the cheering at the end of the show is a bit longer than on any other version I've heard.

And the bit of Bob Harris at the end is new to me too. Is that from that same bootleg?

Any chance you could post that source in its own?

Hi, there is a Queen on the Green Vinyl + CD edition which I bought. The bit of Bob Harris in the end is just an extract from Queen On Air. You can hear Bob after Jailhouse Rock. Surely, I can upload just Queen On The Green. I'll do it tomorrow!

Ah yes, I forgot about that !

So upon closer examination, the longer audience cheering after Bama Lama is actually a copy/paste from the end of Liar. But it also has a bit more cheering at the very end, as previous versions just suddenly cut out.

I've also come to realize that some copies have extra cheering after Liar. The older common copies have the audience calming down sooner, as the DJ begins speaking in silence. But on a couple bootlegs and the official release there is still cheering as he speaks, so this means some additional cheering was flown in and you hear two bits of audience playing at the same time.

And then of course there are the different edits of the intro - I count three now.

Why all the bizarre edits? Is this radio guys at work, or bootleggers?

Looking forward to hearing the other version.

Yes, please the On The Green CD please. Thanks.

Bob, do you have full raw source of unedited intro featuring one sentence edited out on all other sources ?

The one sentence is included in the green on the green bootleg. Forgot to use it in my edition anyway.

Thank you for this!

There are so many good versions... can this version be considered the definitive one?

Not quite, as Queen On The Green has a ton of compression added.

The 2004 "Digital Queen Archives" bootleg is still pretty definitive. It's complete, except for the edited DJ intro. The tape runs a bit fast, though.

The official release sounds a tad better, but probably just because they EQ'd it and added a bit of compression.

Such a thing doesn't exist, as it's at least two different speeches that were recorded and edited together later.

So there are clearly edits - one or two in each one.

I think 20181019869471038.wav is the original introduction from the concert.

The 20181019375271809.wav version is the final tweaked version. The first sentence was re-recorded and third sentence was edited out.
