I think saying that they want more money is simplistic. I think May and Taylor like performing to big crowds. Much of the other stuff they do is aimed at keeping the Queen legacy going. The movie is a part of that.

As fans we may like or dislike what they do. I think they've done amazingly stupid things (remember Five?) and I think the movie was flawed (but I also hate biopics as a rule). But, I think they've had success in keeping Queen in the public's eye. The movie has even helped those of us who don't really like it because it has helped unearth some great stuff.

Of course it also be naive to think that money isn't a motivator but the need to hear the crowd roar and to see your stuff being discovered by new generations is, I think, much more important.

I would never tell anyone who likes something which is mostly just entertainment to get a life (like Shatner said about Trekkies) but people who are so devoted to hating something should really get a fucking life. Spend more time on things you like. Just listen to the old stuff. Enjoy it and enjoy your life.

Yeah, they played around the world to huge audiences. The ability to do this was sadly taken away from them in the mid 80's when it became impossible for Freddie to tour.

After Freddie's death they felt they couldn't continue, for what ever reasons. In 2005 to 2009 the chance came along and obviously felt right. It came along again,neither even more success in 2012 so they grabbed the chance. It's what they do and who here has the right to tell them they are wrong.

Quite simply they are doing what they love for people who love seeing them. The money the earn is worked for, Gerryhappyright hasn't bought tickets for their shows so had no foundation to build a complaint on, during the 70's and 80's he was happy to contribute to their income.

Brian wants to control, or has his hands on it woulds be better expressed. I am by far not happy with everything they do, but I'm very happy to see them doing their "thing". There IS magic when Maylor play together.

Brian & Roger play well together i cannot deny that but fetching in somebody who was a novice like Adam Lambert to take over Freddie's mic was a massive mistake.
