It appears that she’s rebranded to appear to be connected to the movie.

It’s sad so many young fans are getting this book for Christmas and will take it as truth.
Link?
That works?

The book has a t least some truth in it. This sad movie almost none
Never read it, is it really so bad?
If you like fan fiction written by Barbara, then it's for you
There're so many biographies of Freddie, that the term "The definitive" makes me hard to believe it's gonna be the last one, lol!, especially coming from Jones. I agree is sad that young fans buy and believe inaccurate things, but I think if they're really interested in the band, they'll do some research, got to reliable sources and make comparisons, or at least, that's what a hope.
Sweetandtenderhooligan, I fixed it for you: "It’s sad so many young fans are watching this film around Christmas and will take it as truth." ;-)
Lesley Ann Jones’ book is great!! I consider it a bible for all Queen fans. It gives us fans so many new insights. All things written in the book are very accurate. There are no lies or false information in it and you can see that she loved Freddie. It’s written with such passion!!
Don't feed the trolls.

Really ought to be blocked somehow though at this point

Matt,

I'm not sure why this person is still here and hasn't been banned. All we can do is ignore them.
I dislike the woman ( rather this bitch ) so much! The worst of the worst.
Hey, OP, the biggest problem with this book is not too many hardcore fans find it tolerable to accept some statements made in it. I only read the original 1998 version (or something like that) and I found her extensive depiction of Zanzibar pretty compelling, her excerpts from interviews with Barbara Valentin were also very good, I thought. Then it contains a lot of "insider's knowledge" which were obviously questioned over the years, but I can only say that - my gut feeling is she actually liked Freddie the person/the rockstar and at the same time was indeed the "fair cop" Brian would like (us) to think the movie is. Enjoy your read.
The movie is shit
The book of Lesley Ann Jones is way better
The book is always better than the movie
One exception: Jesus Christ Superstar is better than the bible
