What was the best We Are The Champions performance?
I've always loved the amazingly powerful vocal performances of the Magic Tour. The original and the early live versions sound way too "thin" for such a song in my opinion.

Queen 50 [1970-2020] Announcement
Nevermind, apparently this was not by the band :D

Queen 50 [1970-2020] Announcement
What a fantastic joke! I first thought that this is a parody by some fan, but so fun of the band to do something like this. Now I just wish they would put as much labour into releasing unreleased songs and demos as th...

'A Kind Of Magic' on Freddie Mercury Tribute
What concert has Scorpions as a BACKUP?!?!? If you have a megaband on site, why not let them perform a song or two? How did Scorpions even agree to do this?

The Uniqueness of Queen
U2 is always mentioned in contexts like this. I don't get it. How many U2 songs can an average person name? How many Queen songs? Queen's music is by far better known around the world and a larger part of everyday life.

The Uniqueness of Queen
Under Pressure also. Impossible not to think of Queen (and Bowie) when someone uses that expression. Especially in non-English countries, where we don't say "under pressure" every single day.

The Uniqueness of Queen
One side of Queen's uniqueness that is often forgotten: how many themes their songs represent. In many of these themes they remain the only alternative. What else than WATC could you play after winning a sports event,...

new-ish Smile photo
Yes, "with" is a more fitting translation. Love how this thread has turning into an episode of Family Guy :D

new-ish Smile photo
"Cum" is Latin for "and". I've had many good laughs about this in various contexts, most disturbingly fine dining.

Roxanne
Nice "dry" and "clean" sound!

Freddie's language skills and his apparent lack of interest in reading
I find your question very similar to something that I once pondered over in another thread. If he "never" worked out, how come he made very decent push-ups?

Daily Mail Prenter Article
When exactly did Queen split up according to them? In May 1985 after the Works Tour, but only two months before Live Aid. Or perhaps at some point during the tour? I say this is just as much bullshit as the part of th...

The Show Must Go On from 'Bohemian Rhapsody' - End titles mix
Great stuff! I like it how the very weak "yeah" from the first refrain is not present in this mix.

The Show Must Go On from 'Bohemian Rhapsody' - End titles mix
I've always wanted to hear a version where the synths have been replaced with guitar. This sounds really good and the power in Freddie's delivery of the refrain is simply stunning!

Fun fact of the day - Queen and Rocky III
It's funny how nowadays their songs are used by pretty much every film/TV-show/ad/whatever that wants to use them and back then they said no to a fucking Rocky movie!

Two-Hour Documentary ‘The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story’
But a true Freddie fan would not ;)

Adam Lambert would have fronted Queen even if Freddie was still alive
Emrabt, in the spirit of all those morbid threads about Freddie's last months, could you please describe in more detail the horrible accident that killed Freddie in 1996? :D

Bryan Singer
It's really sickening to read that the movie should suffer because of what the director has done. For those of you who share this opinion, if we find out someway that Dali, Matisse, Monet, Picasso or Rembrandt were ch...

Well done Rami and Bo Rhap!
Sorry for multiple posts! In a way I think that his lovely acceptance speech showcased in every way why he was the totally wrong man to play someone as flamboyant and "raw" as Freddie.

Well done Rami and Bo Rhap!
Rami's acceptance speech was very cute (better than his performance in the film) and it was really classy of him to start by thanking his mother and finish by thanking his girlfriend. I wish he hadn't labelled Freddie...
