TO BE A FLY ON THE WALL....

Just a fun question to get insight from people's opinions here. We DO have newbies and it'd be refreshing to get a take from old and new with this question:

If you could be a "fly on the wall" for TWO album recording sessions, which would they be?

Would it be ANATO as you watch as Brian meticulously records his parts for Good Company, Freddie compose BoRhap and deliver those scowling lines of DOTL?

would you hob nob with the band in Munich and drink vodka tonics while doing blow, only to ask Roger. ... "do you REALLY think that should make the album?"

....the choices r yours.

Short explanation for fun.

MYSELF:

Although I'd kill to hear FM doing the middle to TEO TORRIATE and WHITE MAN.. A NIGHT AT THE OPERA WINS.

The playback, the takes, the decisions on DEATH ON TWO LEGS, the laughs (you're my best friend) the insanity of Prophets Song and composing changes for each bar. ...all that.

And #2

I'd love to have seen and heard the MADE IN HEAVEN sessions. Not necessarily to see Freddie ill, but to hear the working versions of everything for the brief time when QUEEN was simply John and Roger

The Miracle and Innuendo.
I would so much like to have seen how they joined forces in the face of adversity.

I'd choose Queen II because I love the album a lot, and Hot Space to see and hear Freddie and David duet.

Good luck getting to page 2 in this thread, as you've already nailed it in the first post.

Although an honourable mention would be Queen II, to witness the excitement of them truly seeing their ideas come to fruition for the first time while they learn how to use the studio to its fullest.

Hot Space, I think it's interesting to see how they recorded album that many fans don't like.
The Miracle and Innuendo because I like those albums the most.
And Freddie's Mr.Bad Guy.

Sheer Heart Attack to see them really take off after Queen II.

Hot Space to find out what the guys where up to at this stage, to see how they developed that new sound and to hear all the typical Queen songs they scrapped which Freddie mentioned an an interview and to see if really John is to blame.

While I agree with much of what is above, too allow the discussion to progress past one page I'll pick The Works.

To hear Queen play all those other tracks that were toyed with but never made the cut and then ended up as solo projects.

Is there a Queen version of I dream of Christmas, Mr Bad Guy tracks, Strange Frontier, Let me live with Rod Stewart etc.

Disclaimer: I know these would not all have happened in exactly the same session but I think they're approximately the same time.

A Night at the Opera and probably Innuendo. Queen II would be interesting as well.

I'd like to see and hear Freddie playing his original ideas of Liar and Ogre Battle on his acoustic guitar to the rest of the band.
