Queen II and ADATR. . . . But then again any of the classic 70's albums, but also Hot Space to see how Mack influenced what went to tape and to see the band stepping in a new direction. Also Made In Heven, I'd really like to see how the dinamic changed from the mid 70's to this album and see how they worked and what influenced the decisions that produced the album.
Yeah I know it doesn't really answer Matt's original question but as with all things Queen I can never get the choices down to two!

Hot Space due to the fact that Brian & Roger have both talked about the "emotional" trouble the band got into in some degree or another, with everything that was going on behind the scenes. It would be a turning point in how the band interacted with each other at that point.
Or The Game, to see if Freddie had a mustache when the studio version of AOBTD was being recorded lol.

AOBTD was recorded close to May 1980, by that time Freddie had the moustache.

I'd choose so many albums... Queen II, SHA, ANATO, NOTW, The Miracle, Innuendo, etc, etc...
I'll stick to Queen II and Innuendo, my two fav Queen albums.
No-one mentioned NOTW! Shame on you!
PS: Hot Space? RLY?

Well... not mentioned in this thread yet "The Game" as there is a rumour going around that basically a double album was made at the time, one (shelved) recorded as a traditional "old sound" Queen album. To be a fly on the wall and hear these tracks and also version of Sail Away Sweet Sister sung by Freddie....
#2 The Works
To hear all the tracks which were never quite completed and all the mentioned versions which might exist. Man On Fire with Freddie on vocals etc etc...

Man on fire was surely sung by Roger, not Freddie.

Queen I & Queen II were closing together and to other musical fields, of course, Hot Space.

Queen II, A day at the races, The game, the works, the Miracle and Innuendo. It isn't easy to peak.
