Get real do you honestly think Queen would be so desperate to record with Adam Lambert?
Lambert is a Z lister in the music world.

1 - the comment you're replying to is from yet another spoof account. They're ripping the piss, you're giving them a platform.
2 - Yes, Queen will record with Lambert. If they're "desperate" (your words) to perform live with him, they'll almost certainly record with him at some point.

Could someone explain to me what COSMOS ROCKIN is about?
It's pretty obtuse

This is video will explain it better than me.

I'm afraid that doesn't answer my question.
I'm sorry, but I wish someone could explain COSMOS ROCKIN' to me, since I am not an astronomer and am admittedly somewhat ignorant on the subject of celestial bodies.
Who's got the cosmos rockin, and how, and what's meant by the voice over? What's the significance of "the boys"? Is it a 2001 SPACE ODYSSEY analogy?
I'm absolutely lost on this.

I too, am lost by the scope of the track. What is meant by Sock it To Me?
The meaning is far too abstract

I think there's a few issues with TCR that stop it from reaching its full potential.
1. There's a weird EQ bump at around 1k -2k to which our ears are very sensitive, which we tend to find off putting. You won't find much of a frequency bump like this in most of the classic Queen catalog or Brian's solo albums.
This could be down to the listening environment in which the album was mixed or simply aging ears, as we tend to lose some sensitivity to that frequency as we age. Steve Perry's recent album also features a bit of a bump at this particular frequency.
Here's an example where I knocked that frequency bump back a little. Re-EQ'd version plays, then the original.
It's subtle, but to my ears the version without the bump leaves less of a bad taste in your mouth, audio wise, if that makes sense. It's a bit less pinched and nasally sounding. (Not referring to Paul's voice which is amazing, just to the overall totality of the audio)
2. Not all hands were on deck. Brian was devoting the majority of his time to his PhD and the "Bang!" book and I imagine was being run ragged trying to complete everything in the same time frame.
I think musicians tend to resort to the Status Quo rock a doodle doo type stuff when we don't have time to labor over material or are disillusioned with a project. See Van Halen's 2004 recorded material as an example. The lyrics got progressively more slapstick and throwaway as the project wore on before it was finally abandoned. The progression from "Learning To See" (first track completed) to "Up For Breakfast" (last track completed) is eye opening.
3. Much of it was recorded live. "Let's just go in there and play".
Sometimes that works great and since they had such great live chemistry I can see why they chose that route, but I don't think it served many of the performances. Paul vocals sound less precise than his usual studio standard on many songs and a lot of Brian's leads sound less composed than usual.
Overall, I feel like this album had quite a lot of potential and some really great material to build on if they could've slowed down and really labored over it like "Innuendo" or "Made In Heaven"...etc.
I will also say that I miss Paul playing with them.

Damn good point. I don't have anything here but some general ear buds to gauge it (no wavelength exams) but there's clearly a shelf that flattens the natural ambience. Hadn't noticed this much on the album since I've only heard it like 5 times

"or simply aging ears"
Yes, spot on. People tend to think we're all listening to the same thing but actually age affects what we hear.

Interesting comparison. The re-EQ’d version sounds more integrated. It’s easier for me to hear the bass. In the original it’s harder for me to hear so it sounds more to me like two things stuck together, if that makes any sense. That’s the way I hear the difference. Or the strongest way.
I played flute in middle school and high school, and 1st year at uni a bit. 1-2 K is just the upper register. I had to work to teach my ear to hear bass. I think people’s ears naturally gravitate towards different things. Percussion tends to be the last thing I hear. (Or most quiet.) I enjoy Roger’s songs more if I focus a bit more on the drums.

He's also trolling at the QZ facebook group, everyone is blockin' him. The guy has serious mental problems. Let's hope he's banned for life very soon.
EMI2565, another troll, deserves to be banned as well.
If you find Martin on facebook, avoid him.
