Rockchic Sure i am sorry if i got you mixed up, these things do happen.
Yeah you are a Lambert fan but your still human and have a lot to learn about quality and talent but years to come you will look back at this period in your life and cringe, believe me![/QUOTE]
Thanks for the apology. It's true we all have a lot to learn but being a Queen fan since 1974 I think I've got to an age where I'm pretty sure who I am and what I like so I very much doubt I'll be cringing about liking QAL.

Wasn’t the full moon beautiful?
Even in the sky this morning it was so prominent.
I think the new excitement over Queen is due to the movie. It is euphoria. It is the love for Freddie Mercury, Queen, the music, the actors, the time period, the story. Rami Malek is so careful and respectful regarding Freddie’s memory. He gets it.

I don't give a shit. Any hype will come to an abrupt end, eventually.

Not really, Led Zeppelin hype is still strong, for example.

The music of Queen is timeless, as every new generation will discover whether by a film, a musical or whatever. Long live Queen!

The current generation of nitwits brought up on social media only wants to hear their greatest hits, and I can't see anything reversing that, so probably a lot of their other songs will become forgotten about regardless of quality.

Holly2003, do you really care about whether none-hits in the Queen-catalogue will get forgotten one day? Humanity is forgetting that it is human at this point in time. There are more important things to think about at the moment than Queen-songs. I personally don't think that the "nitwits“ are even interested in music at all. It's all about noise and attention for barkers. It's not about dynamics, harmony, rhythm and melody. Jim Beach is a very clever man. He knows very well that the legacy of the band can not be milked again by putting out new editions of records. Thus he invented the musical, the movie and next, maybe a television series. When May and Taylor cannot go on tour anymore, he'll send them out as holograms.

Some of the hits, such as Killer Queen, are so good that if a person isn’t curious enough after hearing that song to want to hear all their songs, then that person just isn’t going to be fan material.
Anyway, even though a lot of people are not fan material, I am glad that they (the general public of movie goers) got to hear Now I’m Here, Doing Alright, and Keep Yourself Alive.

We all have to discover Queen somehow. For some people who have found Queen due to the film it will be a phase, they might love the film or actors more than the band or they won't delve into the whole Queen catalogue. For others, the film will just have been their route to discovering Queen's music and they can love and feel it and come to know it just as much as anyone else.
Be it a release (such as the film), a Queen music release, something on the TV or radio, your own parents or mere chance - some thing led all of us to first fall in love with Queen, whether it was 45 years ago, yesterday or any time in between.

I don't hate new fans. Actually I welcome the to Queen world. I only hate nrw fans calling them "truefans" and a fan who has a fan account shite.

fras?? Who's that guy?
haha... ANyways, Strangest thing I've seen lately was 3 young club gals dancing outside a place that was playing ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST... which pretty much would've "just been " considered "old dude rock" a few years ago... It's startling, but it's also pretty cool to see it making some arses move a bit.
