hello everyone,
I follow the forum for a long time enjoing your extensive knowledge. but the topic on reddit which I found yesterday mobilized me to write here.
I'm talking about this one https://www.reddit.com/r/queen/comments/2459xw/ive_just_had_a_fascinating_chat_with_someone_who/
I never believed in the story of unconditional love among members, "we are a family", "we care for each other", blah blah etc. But I always thought that they respect each other and as 4 intelligent guys they know that they have power only together.
Does any of you know how much truth is in it?
I searched the forum but I did not find similar topic.

The smell of bullshit is strong with this one.

Quite a lot that doesn't add up - in reality, Roger got along with John well enough to spend holidays with him in the 80s, John has seen WWRY, there was only two years between the Magic Tour and the production for the Miracle starting, promoters can't sue a band for not touring an album... I could go on but why bother.

It was an interesting read, but there are so many factual errors (most pointed out by someone in that reddit thread) that at best it reads like someone's not very reliable memory of events. At worst of course it's just completely fabricated and there's no truth in it at all.

Too many factual errors IMO. I rather believe that John simply didn´t want to be involved in the band anymore because he never really wanted to be a big rock star. Things actually happened and he couldn´t go away. I would rather believe Peter Hince, who wrote about it in his book. It made perfect sense.
Freddie mentioned in several interviews, that the members hardly socialized together, they were simply professionals who met in the studio to work. He said that they liked each other instictivelly, which I tend to believe - after so many years they were simply colleauges who run very succesfull bussines together. We can call it professionalism, which held them together. I rather believe that they weren´t real friends, or not everybody with everyone. But they knew that they need each other to be successfull. "Why kill the goose that lays the golden egg".
After Freddie had died, John used the situation to say final goodbye too. He waited for this moment many years, he simply didn´t want to be the first to quit.

I know that reddit is a cesspool, so that's why I asked here and
thanks for your opinion.
But what do you think about Roger and Brian wanted to kick John out of the band? Is it possible?

I've always suspected Brian and John not getting along, so this seems pretty plausible.
We love you Mandy!
