So much in that posting doesn't add up. As a matter of chronology alone:
"It turns out that this was because of something that happened during the 1978 / 79 tour", then " By the time Kinda Magic and the Magic tour were done, John had been trying to leave Queen for nearly 10 years"

" So at the end of the last gig of the Magic tour John snapped the neck of his bass guitar against his amplifier stack, climbed into his limo, and vanished. For five years."

Some things just don't make sense: "and some concert promoters had also said they would sue if these albums weren't supported by a tour."

It seems very unlikely there'd be contracts like that, especially at this point in time. The remarks about the musical are demonstrably untrue - John attended a showing - and the remarks about John introducing drum machines and sequencers to the chagrin of Roger makes no sense considering the Strange Frontier album.

If I came across a document like this in the course of my work as a historian, I would regard all statements therein suspect unless they are corroborated by independent sources. There is just too much that does not make sense, is too imprecise and/or contradicts established facts.

There's quite a few things wrong here. One example being, there was less than a two year break between the end of the Magic tour and recording The Miracle, not five years.
