Gold, Adam had that Oscars audience rockin and rollin and following his movements on the stage. BTW he learned to read music back in high school and knows how to put notes together. He knows how to sing those notes, stretch them, blend them, change them around when performing live.

Brian and Roger and Spike and Neil know they are working with a professional and can depend on him to put out a pitch perfect vocal performance while selling it to an audience of all ages and genders and musical history.

He is different but pretty darn close to what Freddie used to do in interpreting the Queen music on a live stage.

Go to a show and then come back here with your “expert” opinion!

Don't waste your time worrying about Adam and his future. He has always impressed people in his industry, but the latest round of high profile spots on the TV shows have really helped him immensely. Lino De Salvo, head animation director for Disney, has turned into a fanboy (speaking of fan boys!)!! Ever since Adam sang the song for the new movie Play Mobil, De Salvo has been interacting with Adam's fans and tweeted many very positive statements. When Adam's new song was released a day or two ago with Adam singing it live, De Salvo said it is absolutely amazing how he sounds when you are in the room with him. You can bet he is in De Salvo's mind when the next big song is needed for a movie. Look at the Frozen song? Once influential people who hire singers for big gigs have you in their radar, things fall into place. You also can't tell me that the group of Hamilton songwriters at the Kennedy Center don't have Adam's voice in their minds. They looked like salivating puppies when he sang Believe. Someone will write a broadway play for Adam's voice. I just bet on that, Probably after his touring is done.

I also think the stripped down acoustic version of his new song is so much better than the studio version. I didn't like that reverb echo right in the beginning, nor the elongating of the "a" sound, too much like current crap pop. But once that part was over, I love it. However, this new version is 10 times better. Adam's voice doesn't need any manipulation and the less background music, the better. He needs to do that on his new album for any song that warrants that kind of minimal treatment. The song is absolutely exquisite and I don't think there is anyone in the world who sounds like him. He ain't going to be begging for his bread and butter in the future, thank you very much!! He may not be singing to arenas, but that voice will be out there. Now that he is independently wealthy, he can pick and choose. I will be waiting for you to eat your hat in 5 years time!!

Sniflese Lambert has impressed so many people that he has changed record labels twice, and a third will be on the way!
I have sampled his solo stuff and the songs really are rubbish and very depressing, nothing amazing like Queen tunes.
Lambert's own solo material never gets played here in the UK because we do not care for him over here.
Other artists here are way ahead of him in terms of talent and record sales.

Yup and how many times did Queen change labels and for what reasons?

Certainly in terms of sales, but not in terms of talent. There are far too many talentless top 40 artists. The radio plays them and after 50 listens in the course of a couple of days, the listener thinks he likes it! If you listen to something OK long enough,, your brain can be coerced into thinking it is really good. Most of the crap on Top 40 is garbage. You think Adam's music is bad, listen to that drivel. It will cause your brain to atrophy. It is all about the labels and who they wish to push on the public, nothing to do with talent. Since Adam doesn't agree with that, he has changed labels, good for him. His best songs never went on to become singles, the songs were chosen by the label and they were wrong in almost every instance. No intelligent person would put up with that and Adam is nothing if not extremely intelligent.

No one writes music like Queen and perhaps no one will ever do that. It is way too high a standard to be held to. I prefer Adam singing Queen as a lot of his music doesn't do his voice justice. There were songs that could have been hits, I believe, but they never became singles. The labels made bad choices per the above paragraph, Hopefully, things are changing. You can do lots of musical gigs without being a songwriter/musician. There is a big, wide world of other kinds of music for a singer out there and I think Adam is just tapping into that new universe.

If you are indicative of the fans of the true Queen, maybe you need a few extra skills in the thinking department!! Someone missed a couple when you were created!!
At least I can come up with something that isn't crude and rude. You can't write anything without filth in it, an extension of your mind, I would guess.

Runner, if you wish people to reply courteously to you, then you need to post in kind. You can't have it both ways. How do you expect people to answer you when you say the kinds of filthy, mean things that you do? If you don't like something, there is a decent way to say it always. If you can't do that, don't be surprised how folks answer you.

Runner isn’t a 40-year Queen fan. He is a nasty troll. Ignore him/her!

Bucstateflon; I am a Queen fan of over 45 years and i do not accept Adam Lambert in any shape or form.
He is a total insult when you think how sheer talented Freddie was.
Lambert has not got the magic to excite an audience the way Freddie had and i doubt his music will be relevant in the next 5 years at all.
You are confused, you are not a Queen fan, your a Freddie fanboy.

bucstateflon I was a very sincere Queen fan and loved all the band but my favourite member been Freddie.
Freddie was always top in any Queen fan club poll he was the favourite member.
There is nothing wrong liking a certain member as you will have your favourite member of Queen too.

As can most of us.

But with this idiot it's not an extension of his mind, it's him. If I feel the need to reply to him I do so in the same way he posts. He hates it, but he really is to stupid to understand what's going on.
