Biopics need a story arc which real life doesn't have. Biopics also needs heroes and villains while real life mostly has flawed people trying to get by and often screwing up.

You need a far fetched story arc to present the intimate life of an extremely promiscuous gay man.
Almost to the point when the character becomes fictional - a gay man with straight feelings, the only ones that counts.

This movie was not a good biopic, let's face it...looks like a rushed job actually...not well written at all
