The first article mistakenly refers to Dolezal as the film producer.

HOWEVER, you guys who are just beginning to lay giant eggs of disgust.... there might be something coming as suggested in bad taste. Theres simply so much money involved and RE: FREDDIE:... "The bigger, the better"
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"

Just saw the same news in the Mail, which made me question if it was true...I guess we'll see - I wonder if they are going with the same actors. I would imagine Rami would have to be paid a lot more. I'm hoping it's just a rumor, but maybe this is the 'how the band carried on from strength to strength' after Freddie's death storyline SBC had mentioned, rushing through to focus on the Queen+ projects (?)

It made so much money & surely gave everyone such an ego boost & it did end in 1985.

People would watch it, so it is certaibly easy to conceive of it happening...

Not sure if it winning awards help or hinder the idea as you’d have to be supremely lucky to have that kind of success again... but you know, there are definitely folk out there who would desire it....

We shall see. Although if it were to include post-Freddie years, oh MY... no, I can’t believe Queen would be that distasteful.

It would surprise me if there was ever a sequel since the film did feel pretty respectful of Freddie in terms of not wanting to show him ill (as you may imagine Freddie would have preferred.) thus what’s left for a sequel?

No way the family of FM would be open to Freddie’s death being openly discussed in a dramatized movie format. No way anyone’s producing this thing without FM as a significant portion of the story line. No way a sequel would be interesting in the least without FM dying on screen.

I don’t think there’s interest in seeing Philadelphia II sans courtroom.

They tried and failed with Titanic II. Yes... there really was a Titanic II. This would be worse and if anything may tarnish the legacy in particular to any new fans of the band. Think of what Waterworld (I actually love this movie) did to Kevin Costner’s career.

They could actually make a much better dramatic film by focusing on the last 6 years of Freddie's life, with no need for music to be played between each song to bring in new fans. It could have a proper story, with decent dialogue and storyline that would actually push Rami's acting skills rather than his ability to replicate Freddie's moves in the concert scenes. It would be 10 times better than BR, although it probably wouldn't appeal to as many people. But that's no bad thing really, as anyone who thinks BH was the best film ever obviously knows fuck all about films. As long as it ended with Freddie's death or possible the reunion concert and not focus on all the bollocks since then.

Freddie's death will be in the first 15 minutes, then will fast forward 18 years to Lambert. No explanation of why John is missing, or owt in between.

Good news is Lambert will be able to provide his own singing voice. Or will they hire Martel?

its already established the sequel... "The show must go on" screenplay drawn from the upcoming documentary.
Of course the Freddie part will be stretched and the Adam part compressed.

The rolling stone piece written by Andy Greene is garbage material, disrespectful an condescending and deliberately misleading.

If they consider Rami again it will be a short appearance for him then.

Anything that shatters Queen+ crap and promotes Freddie Mercury gets my vote.

They could make a movie about Queen on road and focus on tours. The soundtrack could be great

In the absence of new albums, I think they could simply release one every few years as they did with albums all these years ago. Bri and Rog would just need to have a word with creators of Dolly the sheep and we could see them touring these movies fucking endlessly. Glambert can stay. No need to worry about the individual plots, they could simply go a bit prog and release concept films focusing on particular aspects of their remarkable story. Like one film devoted to Bri's relationship with Red Special, another one pondering on his cosmos ambitions and fight for badgers (or is it too much?), another one on Freddie's Munich pub brawl and then another one on Brian's hair maintenance, just to make sure we get a healthy balance. Yeah, keep them coming!
