I was listening to the Absolute Narrative and Brian and Roger mentioned this cover... Roger didn't approve, do you? XD
We love you Mandy!

They don't need my permission... or anybody else's for that matter.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Sadly, I used to watch this show when I was kid and I don't remember this episode (thankfully) for had I seen and heard this travesty I probably would have had a Rock Star sized hissy fit and trashed the house!

Hypocrite Mormon Osmonds who disapprove of homosexuality and here they are singing a Queen song.

But the question was, do you approve?

Anyone who doesn't approve of Adam Lambert will not view it and automatically disapprove.

Anyone who approves of Adam Lambert may watch it and will most likely disapprove.

I approve of Adam Lambert, i didn't watch it, but i disapprove because it's Donny and Marie.

Good luck finding an approval!

Adam Lambert is not worthy of anything.
You have bad taste and should hang your head in shame my friend.
Lambert is just like The Osmonds cheesy sickly American trash.

As the saccharine version of You're My Best Friend played in the background, his eyes moved to the red ribbon his sister had planted on his right pectoral muscle. He saw something in her eyes when she touched him. A recognition of firmness. After all, he was toned to perfection from weeks of rebuilding a church in Rokoray, along the northern banks of the Great Scarcies River. He had met a woman there who reminded him of his sister. He cared for her, taught her a fledgling example of English, had even found himself feeling love for her. That was not a sisterly love however. Then again… was this?

He began to open his mouth. Any moment his parents would walk downstairs from the control room over looking the studio set. The look on her face said they were on the same channel. Everything he had just thought, she heard it. He spoke.

“Listen, when mom and dad go out to say hi to the TV station execs tonight, let’s hang back, go upstairs and fuck the shit out of each other.”

“What?” She answered, bewildered.

“C’mon let's do it. Let’s fuck. Haven’t we always wanted this?” He reached out to reassure her, but she pulled away, fear in her eyes. “Whoa whoa. Uh no I’m just happy you’re home from that African Mormon camp. What the hell are you talking about wanting to fuck me? Are you seriou--” And like a blade being hammered on the anvil, his father’s voice rang out from behind him: “WHAT IN SAM HILL IS GOING ON HERE?”

“I can explain…” he stammered, but was cut off by the visceral scream from his mother as she began sobbing into her felt jumpsuit. His father erupted, white morning spittle shooting from the corners of his mouth.

“NO SON OF MINE IS GONNA COVER QUEEN!!!!!!” He belted his son in the face, knocking the boy unconscious. “THIS IS AN OSMOND SHOW!”

acceptance of Adam Lambert = queen fan with an open mind ...

i've noticed a lot of people immediately despise Adam Lambert without giving him a chance ... in my opinion, he is an important ingredient in Queen's ability to stay relevant in today's shit music market.

basically, if you can't accept adam lambert, you've immediately written off donny & marie.

and in my opinion, writing off donny & marie is a safe bet.

It's kinda true - now the film is out a new generation of people know that Queen is not AL's backing band. And I suspect it's those people that WERE the AL fans that are now the ones that only talk about Jim and Mary.

So it's lose / lose on QZ, but keeps Queen's pockets full and that's what counts.

Jimmy Dean Are you for real or what? Lambert is the worst possible thing that could have happened to Queen, he brings nothing but embarrassment to Queens fans.
He makes Queen look like a bunch of wankers.
Queen were a once respected rock group but now they are eurovision type trash with a freaky singer who looks like a fat camp Kenny Everret on coke!
May & Taylor are shrew hard faced business men now and do not give a fig about Queen its all about getting as much money as they can rob from the idiots who but the tickets.
Lamb-tit king of karaoke and coat tail hanger on !

'He makes Queen look like a bunch of wankers.'

I think they've been doing a pretty good job of that themselves recently.
