quite real - i've yet to reinvent myself on AI. while all your comments are clearly one-sided, adam lambert is a vehicle for Queen's enduring success in the 21st century. He is the perfect avatar to keep the brand relevant. What's more, is that he clearly understands his role. He does not parade around as the next Freddie Mercury. I've seen the show, he is clearly humbled by their legacy and basks in his dumb luck in being nothing more than a footnote in their history.

However, without him - it's quite possible, the movie would not have been a success, Queen compilations and streaming revenue would have been lower, and generally less recognition - particularly within the young generation. Is he responsible for all this? no. May and Taylor - the shrewd business men, as you mentioned - are fully responsible. They hired him.

My point is, while Adam Lambert provides no artistic quality to Queen - he sure as hell does a great job of keeping the band relevant by doing his fucking job.

If you can't respect that - then you probably need to get out more. There's more to life than being bitter that Queen was done in '91. Life goes on and all that shit. Personally, I'd rather the band remain relevant using Adam Lambert as their front man - so that newer fans enjoy their music. Why? Because I want more of what they gave us with the News Of The World box set. I would love to hear what Greg Brooks has been able to hear.

If you want more quality releases - you need a strong brand to get more people to buy your product. If Adam Lambert is the key to that success - i'm a fan.

That's a legit p.o.v except I don't see any strong connection between Lambert and the success of the film.

Disagree because Queen are only Queen by default now, they are not the band they were.
Adam Lambert is not why the Bohemian Rhapsody film was a success it was because the world miss Freddie.
Freddie is a legend the greatest tour de force that ever graced a stage, he is massive and Adam Lambert will not be getting my thanks because you will find it was Brian who got the buffoon famous,
even though he is truly awful and has no talent in him at all, i have heard better west end singers in London myself.
The hype around Adam Lambert is crazy, and lets face it he has not made a massive impact on the UK or even the charts here. He is a complete flop.
Without Queen he would be nothing, and if that is all he can do with his life to just sing karaoke to Queen songs then he is not original or credible as a singer, he is mainstream cheese.
Lets get one thing straight Freddie's legacy is greater than any other member of Queen. Mercury will always be massive and we do not need Lambert in any shape or form to keep Freddie relevant.
