I like it. They have songs much worse than it
I like it too...it sets a certain kind of mood. Also, I do appreciate the fact that Freddie wasn't afraid to experiment... that's what artists should do, push the boundaries...not always aim for the predictable commercial hits.
this subject was discussed many times
It's essentially crap in their BODY of work, and probably wouldn't be noticed on any other band's catalogue of the era.
It only cracked the top 20 in the US briefly because of the follow through and anticipation from the previous success with THE GAME singles. (These three things are simply mentioned to refute the idea that it's a GREAT song.. i think it only stands out because it's a weird departure and pretty bad for Queen

Its a decaying corpse on an abandoned spaceship, orbiting a dead world.
In Queen standards rubbish but in today's standards fantastic.
I do wish that Body Language had been on Mr. Bad Guy and There Must Be More to Life Than This or Man Made Paradise on Hot Space.

It's ace.
Its like fungus, not normal fungus that grows on trees but the sinister fungus that grows in the lungs of someone with a weakened immune system and slowly kills them.
But worse.
But worse.
There are drugs to treat that sinister fungus. Sometimes they work. There’s no drug you can take to make Body Language sound good. So yes moog, worse.
Sorry Freddie.
Sorry Freddie.
I'd be hard pressed to say it's their worst song (a bad Queen song is kind of a foreign concept to me). Perhaps it's Freddie's least inspired song, and easily Queen's worst single.
Worst Queen song... as in the whole band and with Freddie on lead vocals? Bottom 3 for sure.
Then again, "best" and "worst" are totally subjective terms.

Chinese Torture is my pick for worst Queen song. It's painful to listen to. But it could be considered a Brian track rather than a Queen track.
It's not a great song. Certainly not the worst though.
If I knew someone who had never heard of Queen before and all I had to persuade them was Body Language or Chinese Torture then there would be no contest. Body Language would make them regret I ever brought them back to my flat to listen to Queen for a start.. :/
