The worst are: pain is so close to pleasure, Leaving home ain't easy, in only 7 days, fun it, body language, party, rain must fall.

I've always loved Body Language and Staying Power from Hot Space. For me, they are the signature songs of Hot Space.

PiSCTP would've fit well in the 60's or 70's with a girl group
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"

It just goes to show you that we all enjoy different things and none of us are correct.

Opinion is a wonderful thing.
This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net

It is definitely my least favorite single by Queen. Talk about killing the momentum they built in the States with The Game.

Really bad? Tokorozawa 1982. :)

There are far stronger songs on that album that would have made better singles, and had it not been a single I think it would have lived as one of those songs that become buried amongst the rest of what on an album.

I guess its unusual at least within Queen's catalogue in that it has little that sounds like Queen and even the uniqueness of the hypnotic "Bass" riff is heavily "borrowed" from someone else.

I don't dislike it but. . .

And then Billy Ocean stole the Body Language bass line for When the Going Gets Tough (1986).
In retaliation, John stole the bass line from Diana Ross's Chain Reaction for Pain is So Close to Pleasure :)

Indeed. . There are so many songs that relate in some way to something else

It was a big hit in the US, number 11 I think - better than Flash and Under Pressure. Listen to the response it gets on the 1982 US tour.
