Your tip worked Galileo! Thanks so much. I'm so sorry, but I've always thought you were a guy and have probably referred to you that way. LOL, I stand corrected and you will be a "she" from now on!
On another online group (where I lurk but never post), a fellow recently posted a picture of himself having a meal with another member, and someone else said “for years I thought you were a woman”!
I’m not even a tomboy, ha ha.
Galileo, I thought you were a guy too I'm sorry. You talk and answer questions as good as any guy would.I give it away everyone knows they are talking to a girl not a bit of dude in me at all.So I definitely couldn't fool anyone.I was really trying hard too with screen name and all.Poor me better luck next time.
JT,Happy Bdaygirl !Do something special on your day.Hope you have many more blessed years to come you are a good friend and sweet lady have a happy day.
Hey Everyone,
Speaking of earthquakes...watch this hilarious video that Lee sent me today.

LOL, that will teach her to borrow her mother's lipstick!
Seriously though, that WAS pretty violent. Scary!
I guess they will have to rename that shade of lipstick "Rumble Red".
Was that Lori "Aunt Becky" Loughlin's daughter in the make-up tutorial video? Sorry, I couldn't resist. It's my one and only bragging point in life. I actually got accepted into USC (Believe me, it's no Ivy.) - but didn't attend - on my own merits and no parental bribery. I don't even row!
CHEVYMAN, thanks! I'm seeing the music of Queen with my local symphony orchestra over the weekend.
Katydyd...I had never watched a video on mute before, so I decided to give it a shot, thinking I might pick up something I had not previously noticed. Got no more than 30 seconds into the song before I completely bailed! LOL
Speaking of cues...a couple days ago I happened to read this fan letter on Brian May's website. (It's from December 2018)
Brian,
I've got a question about queen with Freddie that I'm really curious about. Freddy seemed to do a lot of scatting especially with another one bites the dust. What kind of cue was there if any to know when to move on? I mean you and Roger would keep playing the same beat over and over then move on on cue. Was there a cue or did u just know Freddie? I loved listening to him scat but you guys came in at the right time everytime. How did you know?
Brian May replied:
Hello Elisa !
Ha ! Good question ! To be honest, it was mainly instinctive. But I guess we had a system of “looks“. When Freddie was ready to move on we would exchange looks - Freddie And Roger and me - and perhaps I would prepare the ground by hitting a ‘round-up’ figure - and then usually Roger would take the initiative to play a fill which signified the end of the improvisation section. That would be the cue for the band to get into the next section. It wasn’t full proof, but it was fun! Cheers - and Happy New Year !
Why does that video remind me of the movie Airplane! LOL
Happy Birthday Jo T!!
Happy birthday Jo T. I always enjoy opportunities to listen to Queen music. A couple of weeks ago I went to see Marc Martel and the Boston Pops at Tanglewood, MA. That was a fun show. Am really looking forward to the Queen + AL concert in August. Have a great time this weekend.
Happy Birthday Jo T!
Rainbow, thanks for sharing that letter. I don't know why the cues fascinate me, but they do. As for turning the sound off, I know how crazy that sounds. The thing is, I know the videos and songs so well that I can still hear them in my mind. I just enjoy looking for visual clues and body language. I just watched a quick video of one of the interviews Freddie did in Japan that was focused only on his face. He never spoke in the clip, so all you can hear in that video is the questions in Japanese. Turning the sound off allows me to focus on Freddie's face and there are just so many subtle emotions going across his face that it fascinates me. HIs eyes alone speak volumes. It's the interview where he playfully punches himself in the face.
Clearly I have a lot of time on my hands.
JT, That's awesome ! I can remember hating football in school dont know why that came to mind guess that's why I was always in band.I couldn't tell you who won the game but I could tell you who had the best band for the evening .Rainbow I bet your excited that concert is next month.Thor that video was pretty funny we dont have many earthquakes around where i live so it's pretty scary to me.
Rainbow...I am really enjoying 'as it began' . It nice to read stories knowing they are likely to be true. I've had a bit of a chuckle at some parts.
I have decided to read it slowly to enjoy it as all the other books I read so fast as I was hungry for information . How are you finding it ?
[If I referred to you as a 'he' it's probably because of your screen name. For some reason it comes across more male than female.
Yes it was I! And although I was referred to as “he” a few times over this or something else (“vignette”) maybe, I’m a “she”. But my screen name is a guy, so perhaps that’s how I became “he”.
can we move on from the vignette please .....lol it's all in the past :)
