Amidds,Phoebe will have alot of interesting things to say about Freddie he knew him better than probably anyone.He seems to be a very kind generous man it will be an interesting interview indeed.

Runner, as a new follower and commenter on QZ, I'll toss in my impressions. I'm not personally interested in contemporary Queen--I'm in the camp of 'no Freddie, no John, no Queen', so I pay no attention to 'new' Queen threads. I'm not, nor do I anticipate becoming, a collector or trader--just not my thing, so those threads are irrelevant to me.
What I have noticed is that in the "Serious" discussions, almost without fail, the conversations that I've followed, even when they start off with an interesting question, devolve into nasty name calling and generally rude behavior by quite a few of the commenters. Not all, but it's very common that threads get ugly real quick. Quite frankly, life is too short and I don't waste my time with that. Sometimes, one can't avoid gross people, but when given the choice, I choose to avoid that kind of behavior.
One exception to that were comments by someone named John Stuart, who I noticed died just recently. That was listed in the "Personal" thread. He posted for years and apparently, he was considered a true expert and serious collector with all things Queen. From the threads I've followed that he was involved in, I learned quite a bit. RIP, Mr. Stuart.
The conversations in "General" have, for the most part (a few trolls notwithstanding) remained respectful and interesting--and fun. I'll also add that both Lee and Thor place a lid on the occasional nasty comments that surface. There's simply a different vibe to this group.

Amidds, even though your trip is far in the future I'm excited that you are already planning it. I like the shirt you are thinking of ordering. I can't get it to enlarge enough for me to be sure of what I am seeing, but I think I see Jim Beach and David Wigg. Not sure about Kurt. In which square do you see Kurt?
