Hello Thor and everyone! Hope you're all having a great week!

I listened again to Don't Try Suicide. It seems interesting to have a catchy sing-a-long karaoke style song on this subject. Over the summer, my friend was successful in taking her life. It was really sad as she brought joy to so many people. You never know what's going on in people's minds. They could appear so happy on the outside but on the inside they are really hurting. I could see it coming though as she had a tremendous amount of emotional and physical pain.

Hungarian Rhapsody is one my favorite live concerts and I would have loved to see this in person along with others. Jo T, you nailed that description of Freddie and "We Will Rock You." He was at his peak...so powerful and strong. That was such a fascinating time in Hungary before the fall of the Iron Curtain and Communism in Europe. How amazing was it for Queen to be able to penetrate into that country during the Cold War? Those people were dying to assimilate into Western culture. My brother-in-law is Hungarian so I was able to travel there with him and my sister years after the fall when it was still transitioning. Such a beautiful country and rich in history and culture.

Chevyman, I think Joe is cute too! Probably the cutest out of all of Freddie's boyfriends. LOL Get well soon!

HelloD, Joe is cute but I'm gonna say out of all Freddie's male fellas I think Thor was the most handsome to me .There now I said it.But you are right Joe is a good runner up .He has such a baby face he looked like a teenage boy.I noticed one thing about Freddie bf's they seemed to be a little on the rough side.Freddie looked so clean cut to me.It makes me wonder why he went for those types of men.I guess everybody has their types.Winnie to me was the deal breaker I guess that was definately the odd looking couple to me.Winnie was huge wasnt he.Freddie was such a trim tiny thing.I think in my opinion Bill Reid was the scariest bf he had.That dude was crazy sister.He looked controlling even in his pics.Thank goodness he got rid of that.He was such a good guy he deserved better.

HelloD,Yes that Suicide song really hit home to me. I found it a bit disturbing.One of my friends I had been friends with since the seventh grade was watching late night TV with her Dad . She asked him to stay awake and talk to her.He fell asleep because he was tired.She went to the bathroom and shot herself in the head.He never has forgiven himself .He said if he had stayed awake she would still be here.So that song to me I dont care for at all.I just cant help it.

Thor I do hope you are still on the mend. It's been a slow and complicated process for you this time. I hope it all ends up.being well worth the pain, discomforts and aggravation, and ends up being a long term fix for your joint problems.

Are you all aware of a book which Spike Edney is proposing to write? I'm sure it would be fascinating to read a book from his perspective.

I also bought a book (collected it from.W H Smith's on Saturday) called A-Z of Freddie Mercury from.Austin to Zanzibar. It's quite fun. Reminds me of a good old fashioned annual.

I saw that Spike Edney was thinking of writing a book. That could be interesting since he's been associated with the bad for such a long time.

Thanks for the link--it's a hoot. Not Queen, but it was interesting. I like the fact that May has purchased land for wildlife refuge, something near and dear to my heart. So, good for him
