rainbow 'who wants to live forever' is one of my fav performances from Freddie during the magic tour. He sung it with so much passion , he put his heart and sole into it and it makes my hair stand on end. Just so powerful.
I like the book for the fact there is no scandal, it's really refreshing after some of the books I have read. I am even happy to see Jim included. Seeing as I am a bit fan of Jim it made my heart swell :)
Katy that interview is really quite amusing as he pulled so many facial expressions...he was clearly bored. He did open up a bit about his soft side and his hard side, I guess we all have these sides to some extent.
good rest of the weekend everyone :)
Doughnut and Katydyd, who wants to live for ever is hard to watch it does leave that lump in your throat .I think alot of his music in his final years helped him cope because all he had to deal with privately had to make a sane man wanna go nuts.I think music may have been his coping mechanism.
The last time Queen toured the US was in July-September of 1982. I was still in college that year, did not have a car, nor was I in a big city, so I had no idea they were even on tour. To be honest, I probably would not have gone to their show anyway as I didn't think of spending money like that when I was in college. They were only an hour away though and I didn't even know it. DRATS!!! I did see some concerts during my college years, but they were always groups that performed at the college, so of course, the student tickets were cheap. (My two favorite shows were James Taylor and John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. Most people are probably not familiar with John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band...they did the music for the movie "Eddie and the Cruisers" and their show was fantastic!)
Ummmmm………...rather than leave another blank post, I'll just tell you all that I had a big boring post here and I deleted it. Didn't want to leave an empty box again. Sorry about that!
Katydyd, Your posts are never boring they always have interesting information in them and are very well written. You got me curious what was in the post you know what they say.curiosity killed the cat satisfaction brought him back have a good one.
Thanks for your kind words Chevy. Trust me, it was just a lot of blah, blah, blah.
I just heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" on the radio, which is a fairly regular occurrence. There are no new accolades I could give that piece of music; it remains the song I was most wowed by upon hearing for the first time. The song + the video completely captivated me as a teenager...40+ years later, it still wows me as much as it did back then. There is nothing else quite like it!
I remember it being played in that movie Wayne's world. It was released when in 1975 .
This is a very cool book. If you like books, then I think you are a very educated person. I would like to recommend an excellent site PapersOwl where you can write an essay for money, I think it will be a very useful service for you.
Hi Katiewebber. Welcome to Queenzone. Are you referring to the book that Thor and Lee will be publishing or the one that doughnut and I were just discussing?
