Trying to catch up here....thanks Lsgp03 for those links!! Never heard the second interview. Heard most of the first but not in it's entirety - love those gems where you can get to the source and get better context vs the small little snippets out there!

Oh Fredfie, please never change :))

Hi Amidds! I am with you-trying to catch up.

All-
I’ll post this here and in the book thread. Has anyone seen this yet?

http://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/freddie-mercury-solo-singles/

It’s dated Nov 19. And titled FEATURESFreddie Mercury Singles: 13 Songs That Defined The Singer’s Solo Career. It has text and video.

I really like that we are discerning readers. I love that when I’m reading, I have the knowledge of more insight. It mentions the collaboration with MJ. And was smiling as I read because I felt lucky to have Thor’s insight as well. And the conversations with all of you.

I just got thru 3 of the songs so far and am enjoying getting to read them watch the video.

Also smiled watching made in heaven with Freddie spinning on top of the world for so many reasons. And also couldn’t help thinking about visual similarity with Brian’s meteoric solo on the Rhapsody tour.

I will wear my Freddie shirt tomorrow in his memory. What will you guys be doing?

I’ve been holding this until Thor and Lee are back, but seems like right timing for it. I have wanted to express my deepest condolences to them for all of the losses in their lives. It is unimaginable to lose so many close to you, and so young.

And, to each of you for the losses in your lives. (Moment of silence)

Ok. I think I’ve made up for lost time. Hope this wasn’t too long.. :-))

Have a great weekend!

Well Its almost Freddie's anniversary date what's your favorite song? Mine is Mother Love the part where Brian comes in is very powerful it took alot of courage on his part.It gets to me some because I realize he had already passed and Brian was finishing the song. Its a beautiful piece that I think most people from Freddie's era can relate too.

I feel such a profound sadness that we have to “remember” Freddie, because it means he is gone. He was a musician extraordinaire: Beautiful…timeless…enduring. What an AMAZING legacy. We love you, Freddie!

You’re welcome Amidds.

Thanks JB050 for the link.

Chevyman, in terms of favorite song, for the solo songs of Freddie’s “Exercises in Free Love, Barcelona, and Living on my Own” In terms of Queen, all of them, in particular all their live versions. I have found like I much prefer their songs performed live vs studio. Specifically the way they did Dragon Attack in Montreal, and in 1974 Live at the Rainbow-Liar, Keep Yourself Alive, and Big Spender, and all of Wembley. It’s rare to prefer live over studio with most rock bands.
For the purpose of tomorrow’s anniversary, I love Freddie’s voice in “Heaven for Everyone “......so calming and sweet

Lsgp,I love live performances especially the the playing of the piano, drums ,and quitsr. Its nothing like hearing someone's live talent.Sometimes I just like to play a song without the voices and listen to the instruments come together.Roger is beautiful on those drums he is a natural.Brian and his man made guitar is pretty awesome too.I dont want to forget John Decon even the he played bass he was good as well.Freddie was a team player. When asked if he was the leader of the band he said no he just did vocals. That says alot for the man .The world is missing a true genius and compassionate soul but his music will live on forever.Queen is still very much alive and Brian ,Roger,And Adam are keeping it going. How many bands with the name queen hae lasted all these years.I just love that name .

Rainbow, It is sad as alot of us have to remember our own friends and family. My uncle lost his life as well to this disease when I was young .He was in his 30s .He was intelligent, kind, someone I looked up too.He was at a peak in his career in the aeronatic field at American Airelines. He was physically fit .He took care of his body. That virus was like a tornado it destroys one life and spares another. We just have to be thankful for the ones it spares.Have a nice day everyone give Freddie some love .Play some of his biest hits and jam out that would make him happy.

At this moment 28 Years ago a beautiful mortal man joined the ranks of the immortal, and Heaven received the greatest choir master it's Angels had ever had.

God bless you and keep you, Freddie. I will see you one day on the Rainbow Bridge

Until then, I will miss you.

We still love you, too

I went to a local state park today and took a short hike to a nearby beach. To my delight, there was nobody there. It was overcast out...both the sky and lake were varying shades of soft grays and blues. It fit my mood. Walked along the shore until I came to a tree with large exposed roots. It was the perfect place to sit and listen to Queen music (with Ipod and headset on) while looking out at the calm lake and the mountains in the distance. Behind me, there were only woods. It felt very private, solemn and ever so peaceful. It was chilly...37 degrees with patches of snow all over, but I was perfectly warm. Before I left, I found a stick and wrote "Remembering Freddie Mercury" in large letters in the sand. Maybe someone else will come along, see the message, and think about Freddie as well...
