Rainbow, I love your message in the sand. What a lovely idea.
JB thanks for the links. I will comment later when I have more time.
Lsgp, I'm with you on Dragon Attack in Montreal.
My favorite song changes from time to time, but currently I love Who Wants To Live Forever. Not so much for the lyrics though they are great, but rather for the power of Freddie's voice. He still manages to amaze me.
His physical body may have died 28 years ago, but his spirit, his legacy, his humor, his music, and his soul live on. I often wish he could know that he truly is a legend. I think he would have loved that his fame continues to grow.
Rainbow!! Wow!! I felt like I was reading a book, reading your post and wanted more! I agree with Katy, what a beautiful thing you did today, so fitting. Sounds like you really followed your heart. How peaceful and amazing.
Hi Katy!!!
Yea chevyman, I understood typos and all. Interesting though, you know how everyone says Freddie was in charge at all the time, also references he chose to die I found he died on Saint Mercurius Day, and it’s celebrated November 25. ( tomorrow) and St Mercurius was of the same region Freddie’s ancestors are from. Turkey-Persian area. Interesting
Remembrance videos on Freddie’s Legacy. Both are short tributes.

Lsgp, yes that is interesting I felt so much sympathy for his mother as it had to be hard for her to bury one of her children.I know it was hard for my grandma. She speaks so proudly of him in interviews.Persians are very kind generous people.I guess that's where he got all those qualities we here his bandmates and friends talk about. Its hard to find a friend or group of friends like that in a life time. The people that worked in his home were his friends too.He was loved by everyone that says alot about him.
Hi. This is my first time and this is the only thread that I have ever read on queenzone.
Thank you to Thor & Lee for your contribution to here.
I was really happy while reading your stories regarding Freddie and I am also looking forward to getting your book soon(I joined in GFM)
I am from Korea and not good at English.
So It took several months to have read those three parts of threads and I could caught up recently.
I just wanted to say ‘Hello’ to commemorate Freddie. Yesterday was his anniversary.
And your loves and stories about Freddie were a great consolation to me.
It’s been a year after I started my Freddie quest(after the movie).
I was surprised and happy to know that there are many well-informed,long-time ardent fans here.
It’s amazing to have been a fan for such a long time. I know he deserves.
I learned a lot from all of you as well as Thor and Lee.
Thank you for many things.
Have a good day!
FreddieDarling,
I agree with the others, your post was so beautiful on this very sad memorial day to the most wonderful and talented man to ever live, although temporarily, on this Earth. He is in a better place, and we are in a better place for having known him, perhaps having wanted to know him, and still holding him in our hearts.
Love to YOU and Freddie,
Thor
Rainbow61. What a beautiful idea. Love it!
I hope it did inspire others to take a moment and contemplate this lovely man. X
Thank you, Thor.
The fact that Freddie is so warmly and lovingly remembered by his friends says a lot to me about the sort of man he was.
I know, from comments dear Peter Freestone has made that he felt the same way about his New York Daughter's, too and again, to me that speaks volumes about the sort of men YOU all are/were. You brought him happiness, and fun and acceptance for being HIMSELF , rather than who he was. That is a priceless commodity when in a celebrity position, as Freddie was. Your friendship with him was what REAL friendship is about!
Easyme! Welcome, welcome, welcome, my dear! It's lovely to have you! In hope you find much joy and enlightenment here!
Have a lovely Monday, Sweet people!
TTFN
Welcome Easyme! Though Thor stops by only occasionally due to all of the work for the book, as you see, he does peek in now and then. The rest of us have slowed down a bit, but we still keep things going. There is still a lot to learn and discover about Freddie, so it's nice to have you join us.
Welcome Easyme. So great to read your post.
Fredfie and Rainbow, how touching! You two actually brought a tear to my eye with your lovely posts. Thank you for sharing.
Lsgp03, I have never heard that reference to St. Mercurius, how interesting! And thanks for the correction on the links - shout out to JB for posting. JB is such a good researcher :)
Welcome Easyme! Glad you could join us! Sorry it took you so long to catch up-we do get a little off track here at times but it's just out of our love and respect to Freddie!!
Have a wonderful Monday all!!
Easy me, I'm so glad you decided to pick this thread to read.Everyone is excited about the book coming out very soon.I agree with you the previous threads are full of interesting history and information.I think it's a mini book in itself.Hope you have fun here. There are alot of cool and nice folks to talk too.
Lsgp. Thank you so much for those links. Was emotional watching them.
Amidds!! Thank you for the shout out! :)
Freddie. Beautiful reply. So true about rare commodity of having trusted friends especially as a celebrity.
