Thanks Thor for your book update today, and congrats on receiving your first draft of the book. Sorry to hear that you are not quite satisfied with the graphics. However, it is good to hear that the bulk of your has been completed.
I will try to be patient, but this reminds me of an old Tom Petty song ...

Thank you for the GFM update Thor! I am willing to wait for a book that meets your expectations.

Thor, I'm with the others. I'm thinking this whole thing must have turned out to be much more than you expected. I'm good to wait until you are completely satisfied with the book.

Katydyd, I think that was well said.I couldn't imagine all the time and travel it takes to write and get a book published. Its not that easy as we would think it would be.I mailed two packages over Christmas and it was outrageously expensive. How can they charge this much? Alot of grandparents are on retirement and fixed incomes and cant afford to fly every holiday to see family so mailing small tokens and gifts is the way to go.I guess not anymore.Alot of nice folks have made donations to this great cause of honoring this wonderful artist. This is just my opinion and as I was reading Thors post about mailing these books out to people that is costly.Yes you can tell me that's none of my buisness Thor my mouth does override my ass at times but damn who can do that.I always thought when you gave to a organization you gave and that was it without any expectations of anything in return.Thats my thought.Well maybe they are just some really nice dudes that love Freddie and his fans.Well that being said if it takes longer than folks think it should there may be alot of factors that play apart of this that I guess we didnt take into consideration.Have a nice weekend.

Chevy- those images were online, think in a few different places on Facebook. :)).
St. Join. Perfect song!! Love that song!!
Thor, I have so much respect and appreciation that you wouldn’t release something your not completely good with. That’s such great integrity... and being true to yourselves... and us.... I’m smiling because that just seems so in line with how Freddie worked too. We are all the better for it!

JB050,Your right too you guys are on a roll today.I think it might be in Thors nature to do things right.I wish some would rub off on me.Cant blame them for wanting it right once it's out there it's done. ITS their pics and memories for everyone to enjoy with them .I'm so scatter brained but I survived. To be this responsible would bore me stiff.I guess you guys already figured that out.You gotta love me.Yes I found that online so funny I need a laugh about something other than myself.

Was listening again to the haunting song. “Little Freddie Goes to School” by Stuart Leathem with Freddies voice superimposed in the song at certain points and you can really hear the undertones of his Indian Parsee accent fairly strong in this song. This is the only song I’ve ever heard the accent. It’s subtle but its still strong if you pay close attention. I listened to the audio tape of Freddie and Mike Moran sitting in the studio until the early morning hours still composing, and Freddie was sitting at the piano and started singing “when this old tired body wants to sing”
So they superimposed it in this song. The song is a bit haunting but intriguing and sensuous. Anyone picked up on the accent?

Lsgp03! So glad you are discussing this song. I have been intrigued by it, but will have to listen to it again for the accent. I didn’t know that story about Fredfie singing that during late-night in the studio. Great fact. Thank you. And thanks again for bringing up this song. So interesting!

See Freddie Darling. I can’t type Freddie anymore getting autocorrected to Fredfie :))

Hi JB050, there is audio floating out there of them goofing off in the studio and he starts to sing about how he physically felt at the moment, which was tired, and why he sings the one line, “when this old tired body wants to sing”......so this Stuart Leathem composed his song and superimposed Freddie’s line in there. You’ll note the credits go to “Freddie Mercury and Esther Trousdale” the female lead in the song.
Now I’d like to know how Stuart Leathem got his hands on that, how he even KNEW it existed....that was a private moment in a studio. I don’t believe there were any employees of the studio there because I was to understand it was in a private studio room that belonged either to Freddie or Mike Moran...within a “home setting”

Here's the original of Mike Moran and Freddie fooling around. According to the person who posted the video it was done at the Montreux studio.

I don't hear any accent and I listened several times. Sorry!

Saint juib, Tom Petty I love him his videos were so strange and out there.I dont think his facial expressions ever changed throughout a song.I loved his voice .He has one of the voices you know anywhere. He was another favorite of mine. You are bringing back great MTV memories for me.I couldn't wait to get home from school after band practice and watch videos on TV.Kids now watch them on their phones oh how times have changed I do miss that.He is a great loss in our music world.
