Galileo, I believe what your saying you have been so helpful to me in the past thanks.

Galileo's explanation on the previous page of the difference between a chapter and a vignette was exactly right as I understand it. He is also correct that Thor's explanation appears on page 60 of this thread. As I see it, the difference between a chapter and a vignette is a matter of writing style.

MisterC, Thor has told us he won't be around for a while. Your best bet might be to check in periodically to see if he's dropped by. We got the new thread we asked for and we will have to be content with that for a while. I check in frequently, but I scroll by that which doesn't hold interest for me.

A while back (October 13, 2018 to be precise) I had asked Thor about the writing process. He shared some interesting tidbits and that's when he mentioned the vignettes. My recent post just happened to mention that again because I thought it was a clever idea. Yes, in the US we refer to book sections as chapters. Galileo's explanation about vignettes makes a lot of sense. I'm sure Thor and Lee are still very busy with the book, not to mention the general business of summer. Finding a publisher was just one phase. There are probably many creative and editing decisions to make as this process moves forward towards publication. I understand why they wouldn't want to reveal too much at this point, but that just makes it more exciting for us! At least we can be happy knowing that the book is coming...I'm sure they will give us plenty of opportunities to ask questions later!. :)

Things seem to be moving along quicker than expected (assuming the publisher editing is reasonable).
