Dear All,
Well, let me say that the photo/graphic/ design and book cover front and back, has appropriately been
left for Lee and me to create. It is difficult and a bit time consuming. With Lee being a perfectionist and
me being a semi-perfectionist, we are trying to make the book as wonderful as possible. We go over ideas
every day whether via text, e-mail, or phone call.
I had a bit of a setback with my knee as far, as new swelling, pain, and decreased range of motion. If all goes
well, Lee and I will have another work session as of Sept. 19th, immediately after my first post-op meeting
with my surgeon and 3 hours of driving time. We will get this part two phase completed....I hope.
Love you all,
Thor

Thanks for the update.
Take your time on the book and enjoy the publishing process ... It is not like you are rushing to meet Xmas delivery. LOL
Hope your setback with your knee is minor and just a blip.

Good to hear from you Thor! That drive to be perfect will pay off in the end, though there may be maddening aspects to it now. As hard as this is, I hope you are still having fun! There is no rush on the book. I like to have something to look forward to and this will be like a gift when it comes. No pressure!
Sorry to hear about the knee. Guess it's not so much in your rearview mirror as I had hoped. I'm assuming you are still in PT. I felt like they were both aggressive, yet understanding. They understood my humor so that when I asked my guy if he had trained at the House Of Pain, he said yes, and I should know he had his masters degree...………...all said while he was pushing my knee flat to the table. I always found the range of motion work the most difficult, but it paid off in the end. Hopefully the surgeon will have some thoughts about the setback and what to do to move forward.
So nice to have you stop in with an update. The caring community you created continues!

Thanks for the update Thor! So sorry to hear about your set back. Hopefully something that you can bounce back from quickly!!! I'm sure we all will appreciate your attention to detail and care in creating the book. Wonder if it isn't the love and respect you both have for the "subject matter" that is pulling at you more than a tendency towards perfection? How could it not?

Hi Thor...Hope you don't have any stairs to climb at your house! Best to you as you make your way toward being "book tour ready"!
Thanks for the latest book news. You and Lee have probably tapped into a skill set you didn't even realize you had before this project began...writing, editing, manuscript submission, graphics design etc. The creative process may be rewarding...but that certainly doesn't equate to being easy. I appreciate that the two of you have a vision and will not settle for less. As others have mentioned, I'm excited knowing the book will come, it doesn't matter when!

again and my first post-op visit to my surgeon is scheduled for next Thursday,, Sept 19th. I will
not over-do it again, I learned my lesson.

Good hearing from you Thor. Thanks for the update.A coworker of mine had hip replacement surgery 2 weeks ago at the young age of 53. She actually thought she would be back driving and at work 7 days later. It’s been 2 weeks and she is still adapting to using a walker from room to room. So much for “driving to work “ a week later. Either her surgeon explained nothing or she’s overly optimistic. At least the book keeps you occupied. I’m glad you two are perfectionists, it produces quality. Freddie was the definition of perfectionism, and look at what he produced.
