It seems that on 11th of october, they will release 7 different products of Freddie solo material. Starting with a reissue of Mr Bad Guy and Barcelona both on CD and LP, plus a 'compilation' called Never Boring, that it will be on CD and LP too (probably a compilation of singles, like Time, Love Kills, Pretender...) and also a box set of 5 Cds will be release, called Never Boring. Probably the box will be a set with Bad Guy, Barcelona, Never Boring compilation plus two cds of demos and alternative versions...

Barcelona and Mr Bad Guy were remastered for Freddie's 70th Birthday, but were dropped in favour of the singles boxset instead, so these two were bound to be released at some point, and when better than the year after the Queen movie with hundreds of thousands of new customers around the world.
As for "Never Boring": Dear God. What an awful title, but clearly indicates this will be another batch of dreadful remasters. Wouldn't surprise me if it was a re-issue of the 1992 FM album with one or two additions.
As for the demos - again, most likley what came out of the 2000 FM boxset with one or two additions if anything else has been found.
What a shame there's no sign of surround mixes of said albums (if, indeed they could do one of Barcelona).
Never Boring?
I bet most of us will be with it.

I don't understand one thing, what sense release one more time Barcelona if it was done in 2012.

Barcelona 2012 was a terrible different version with orchestra instead of the original keyboard played by Mike Moran and Fred. So, this reissue I hope that it will be the original album

I really liked the Orchestral Version if Barcelona. Whilst I prefer the original, I do like the Orchestral side of it too.

Great news for new fans.
Wonder about the mastering, if shelved or tasteful.
MBG should be released with extras since the album is pretty much a dud.
I wonder if BARCELONA will have the original artwork portrait or the Hollywood Records version with the promo film shot.
I've been hoping for a reissue of the FM SOLO COLLECTION but it looks like i missed my opportunity in this lifetime. Unless i wish to shelve out an obscene amount of money.
P.s.
I hope there's no foreword by Miley Cyrus, Gaga etc for NEVER BORING.
I think it's a funny title and camp, which makes me think it was created for casual fans of "theatrics" and those old ladies we always trash on about that attend the AL shows.
Thanks for breaking the news. Looking forward to the full details in the event something new pops up. (*prob won't since it's not being boasted about yet)

Barcelona 2012 fault on the mix, becouse the orchestra did a great job (Excersises In Free Love is amazing) but, a total absent of the Mike Moran piano parts, and some mistakes on the mix of the vocals, makes me feel awful listening to the 2012 version.

really boring, they had a pseudo-unreleased track to sell us and they took the opportunity to repropose the entire catalog for the umpteenth time

Mary Austin must be running low on cash , I wonder are these releases aimed at the Spanish market as I can’t see it listed on Amazon .

At the moment there's not on any amazon yet. But if course that it will be on spain

Surely this is a spoof?

Definitely not a spoof my friends. One or two of us here may have had a hand with this release, indirectly.
