That early Floyd box was the absolute nuts. Not so sure on this later one but still yeah they seem to be enjoying clearing out the vaults for their fans.
Indeed, but what happened to the middle period. . The classic 70's Floyd seems to have been ignored
More or less taken care of with the immersion box-sets of The Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. Only Animals is conspicuously absent.

The Animals remix / 5.1 will probably only be made available with 'The Middle Years' box set, at another four hundred quid.

Just wondering why these assholes at QPL haven't gone with the most OBVIOUS "CA$# IN" on popularity
RE-RELEASE THE ENTIRE VIDEO COLLECTION AS ONE "CHRONICLE".
DVD AND BLU-RAY (*both formats in the same packing like CRITERION and ARROW did)
That shit would sell ANYWHERE and would be prime for "STOCKING STUFFERS" on CORPORATELY PROGRAMMED 4TH QUARTER LIQUIDATION DAY! (XMAS)
It's fucking LUDICROUS that they haven't even released the INNUENDO videos in a digital format since LASERDISC
What the FUCK is wrong with them?
*plus RETAIN THE ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIOS!
*THE WINDOW IS CLOSING ON THIS POPULARITY
RIDE THIS SHIT OUT!
JUMP ON IT QPL!
THROW IN SOME INTERVIEWS AND COMMENTARY and maybe interview the surviving directors
AND THROW IN A COUPLE FUCKING STICKERS!
FFS self produced bands with essentially NO FUTURE in the PUBLIC sphere produce their own fucking stickers and give them away for free
It's self promotion.
What the hell is wrong with the QUEEN machine?
Is it Beach?
Is it May?
Is it Taylor?
Is it Universal?
Is it EMI?
Is it Parlophone?
Is it the estate of FM?
....somehow I don't think it's John Deacon

Seriously. Could you IMAGINE the impact that'd have on a generation?
$20 at the shop, or hell even at a 7-11 (*24 hour merchant/liquor chain in the USA) ....prime support for "BAD DADS" even, who've gotta visit the ex wife and new husband and might have spent most of their day getting boozed to stomach it all.
Guy who forgot to bring a gift. It's the gift that keeps on giving
That's just the BAD scenario.
The positive scenario is. HEY! let's put the videos on! (Mom and dad and fam drink the vino in the kitchen, while the videos work as "the sitter" then walk in and reminisce)
It could foreseeably be the winter of Queen. Making lifetime impressions on kids and adults alike. Who can even argue with the music.
It's a shame that they've sat on this for the umpteenth "anniversary".
Is it DoRo holding out? They worked together for the THESE ARE THE DAYS DOC. Somethings amiss.
Nothing but affordable, foreseeably kind and gracious memories reinforcing a musical legacy of a very diverse band.
Bring the focus back to the band. It's pretty obvious

I actually do think we will get a Queen release although it’s not going to be as substantial as releases by bands like Pink Floyd.

Jim Beach is my dad's boyfriend and he told me that we'll get a new CD for the holiday season!
It's called "Cash Cows", it's got the same tracklist as Absolute Greatest but Heaven for Everyone is replaced by a SUPER-RARE, METICULOUSLY RESTORED AND REMASTERED, NEVER-BEFORE-RELEASED version with Roger Taylor on vocals (and some wankers called The Cross as the backing band) that's from DEEP IN THE ARCHIVES and that has been UNHEARD, UNSEEN, and UNFELT since the DAWN OF TIME!!!!
It also includes, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Live Killers, a modern recreation of the Bicycle Race poster with the original models (except for the ones in wheelchairs and coffins) in all their geriatric splendour.
All this at the incredible stocking-stuffer price of only $39.99!

I just want ALL the promo videos, in 5.1, and of course in their original aspect ratios, upscaled to blu-ray (unless they can scan film elements in HD). And, if it's not too much to ask Eagle Rock, in PAL.
AND WHERE'S BRIAN'S SOLO BOXSET??!!

Why the hell havent Queen even cashed in on bohemian rhapsody film and released any sort of material.
It reeally grips my shit. We'll all be long dead before they release the archives.
Time to ditch Jim Beach and get a manager in who will release their material to the wanting masses.

An anthology release will probably require the same motivation that led to the Pink Floyd early years box set, that of the copyright expiring after 50 years. So for Queen's earliest (unreleased) recordings that would mean a release in 2021 or 22 at the latest I would have thought?

The length of copyright depends on the type of work.
Type of work How long copyright usually lasts
Written, dramatic, musical and artistic work 70 years after the author’s death
Sound and music recording 70 years from when it’s first published
Films 70 years after the death of the director, screenplay author and composer
Broadcasts 50 years from when it’s first broadcast
Layout of published editions of written, 25 years from when it’s first published
dramatic or musical works
I wonder if the broadcasts' copyright length was the driver for the 'On Air' set with the Freddie interviews and the radio broadcast material?
I could be wrong, but my recollection is that copyright used to be a standard 50 years, but that limit was set before the 'rock n roll' era created the likes of Elvis, Cliff Richard, The Beatles etc.., but was extended after some court cases? It was originally never foreseen that the early 'disposable' pop would continue to either gain cultural significance or turn into income streams for the artists, who were still performing them decades later.
