Not quite. The Barcelona 2012 orchestral version, yes. But the Mr. Bad Guy album and the tracks on the new compilation are all re-mixed, and the music videos have also been restored.

Pfffffffffff
These tracks (yes, now remixed blablabla) were already released in 1985 (and again in 2000, i´m still having the FM Box and they ´re there too!) and they don´t have any difference in tems of composition. Yes different sound but...For me not enough.
We DO want unreleased stuff not the same over and over again.
Anyway i understand there will be people excited with new mixes...It´s OK.
Not me.

**** me.
It IS that ****ing 2012 Orchestral piece of shite.
NOT very happy to say the least.
QPL need a ****ing good smacking for forcing that drivel on us again instead of a remastered version of the original.
WTF are they playing at????
That alone makes me want to wait and hope for a far cheaper price at some point.
Livid. I'm absolutely ****ing livid.

I'm glad that every song (except Barcelona 2012) on this project is newly mixed. Restored videos is also a good sign.

At least Mr. Bad Guy has received a new mix, at last !
Comparing right now the old Love Like There´s No Tomorrow with the new mix and I´m thankful I can hear now Freddie like he wasn´t singing from another room of the house.

Yes it is an utter disgrace what we get......
How often can you repack two solo albums from a great artist.
Freddie would NOT have loved it....
Who is buying this crap?

These remixes annoy the hell out of me. Why change something which the artist clearly wanted to sound like as it was released???? If there were different vocal takes etc it might be a different story but this is just the same shit over and over again. QP should bow down their head in shame.

^ If you don't wanna hear it, f**ing go home (c) 1982
Remix is an excellent thing if it was made from original multitracks.
All 3 titles will be available separately on CD and LP for 10-20 GBP.
And God knows maybe Barcelona separately will be presented in REMIXED original Mercury/Moran form.

Mr Bad Guy is remixed?!!? Wow - obviously I'd expect a remaster but didn't think they'd do a new mix. I hope the drums sound better. My big fear is that they will have (needlessly) autotuned/played with some of the vocals - the inclusion in the press release of the phrase "now taking advantage of the time, resources and technology that Freddie may not have originally had available to him in the 1980s" worries me in this respect.
Just also noticed that the press release states that Roger plays percussion on Love Kills....surely that's all completely pre-programmed drum machines parts (which admittedly Roger did programme), but it's not live 'played' percussion?
Finally - does this release limit the opportunity of us ever hearing the Queen version of Man Made Paradise?

There’ll be more to it than just simply a “re-release...”
Hm from what I see on the cds on the pic this is Mr Bad Guy, Barcelona and a compilation. The only secret is the bluray/DVD, which will contain all solo-videos seen before as well.
The videos all seem to be restored from original film and rushes, so they will be in top quality (and possibly even different edits too like the Rhys Thomas Barcelona one).
I am, like most here, am totally pissed off with the inclusion of reworked Barcelona - it is so sonically inferior to the original work of genius by Freddie and Mike.

I wonder which of the several versions of She Blows Hot and Cold will be included? One of the edits with Brian on, or one with Paul Vincent doing a replication/impersonation of him?
They all are the same take of this song. Same guitarist, same guitar.
Solo Collection Rarities 1 features new mix of the same recording which was released as the b-side.
All this 'replication' story is an asumption or maybe even a speculation.
Interesting...is that definite that every version has Brian on guitar? I (and many others) have always believed that there were versions with Brian on, and ones with Paul Vincent. This was confirmed (or at least intimated) in the Freddie Solo Box text in 2000 too. There are certainly also 4 mixes of the track (regardless of guitarist) and my original summary of that is at the following link (which I now note you commented on back in 2017), so I still wonder which of the shorter mixes will appear on this set.
Hi CMI. The excellent 'Queen Chronology' book and other resources such as QueenVault' confirm that Paul Vincent plays guitar on the originally released version of 'She Blows Hot & Cold'.
However, answering my own original question, the press release for 'Never Boring' infers that the version included here is one of the edits with Brian on.

Really, really, really boring. And if they stick to the more than awful Barcelona Orchestral Edition, it´s even more boring.
Anyway ... we were so lucky to have "the" solo box many years ago. And that one was amazing. Everything was in there. Wow, we even had Freddie singing with a cold.
