Gotta agree with the assessment here that for what it's worth they were essentially a type of family. Most bands have that bond. Some are stronger pairings: and by all accounts Frederiger and Rogerick were at a time greatly close, while Brianthonious and Frederiger were "mates", pals chums and butt heads more often likely from their collective creativity.
By other accounts John was taken in and looked after by Frederiger... they seemed to have written more together than other combinations - though that might only account for professional work.
But those are just from tidbits people have given in books and interviews. We were not there...
There's also MACK and his son who had Frederiger as his godfather. There might also be such a thing with the Deacons, i wouldn't know and i wouldn't want to intrude. By all accounts his children aren't taking up the legacy -musically at least and any personal accounts will have to wait for someone's second generation book account...
I think this all stems from frustration at younger fans eating up the film and reading too much into every repeated goddamned YouTube comment.
Just take a deep breath and ignore it or correct it...

I'm sure they weren't a family in the "let's spend every second of our days happily together" sense, and that there were moments when they couldn't stand each other. But I recently heard Roger saying in a video that John was "severely traumatised" by Freddie's death and personally I can say that I wouldn't be severely traumatised by a co-worker's death, especially years after the fact. Also, Roger asked Freddie to be his best man in his wedding. Roger and John spent some holidays together. It sounds like friendship to me.

Listen I think I've got all rights to start a fight with a user, when I'm totally annoyed of his behavior. I can fully understand his opinion, disliking all the new stuff and especially Adam Lambert. Totally fine for me. But I cannot accept his negative behaviour towards all other users in all those threads, destroying nearly all discussions.
