So inaccuracies aren't just limited to the (ahem!) "work" you take money for, eh? However, what have *YOU* offered the world that has been useful other than other people's work? Now, this raises another question; are you Jimmy Page when he's off duty? As one of the most celebrated plagiarists and least prolific artists in rock history, separating private from public might be a tough gig...........

You'd be surprised at what I've done and / or given to people, but the blowing of one's own trumpet hasn't ever sat too well with me.

These ugly things get to be entertaining. I can understand the distaste.....having read these things for years. It's still sad that much of it's likely true. Keep being wishful, people. It keeps the site active during dry spells

I don't see Greg doing much wrong here. I think he's come on and given reasons for why the book doesn't list sources, and I totally understand why for the extensive reasons he gives... and yeah, i think he's pretty spot on about the forum. It's become desolute in the past few years.

Also, for all of those people who ferociously jump on Greg calling him a troll etc. isn't that pretty much what you're doing when you respond to his threads/posts like that. If you don't like him fine, but if he really is so terrible in your eyes why do you stoop to that level and instantly derail any thread he's involved in?

I'm aware of some of the history between Greg and the board in the past, but it's a shame we couldn't put things to one side and be able to have a civil back and forth with the Queen Archivist. It could have been for the benefit of both of us.

However, Greggy-Boy has NEVER been able to accept and acknowledge his limitations / failures / inaccuracies or apologise for having taken other people's material and passed it off as his own whilst making money off of the back of it. Shit, even Jimmy Page and Robert Plant have done that......... If we take it back to the start of this thread: "Why didn't we offer the source for EVERY quote? We would have loved to do that - if it were possible - but it wasn't, unless you wanted to see a complete mass and mess of source stats and dates at the back of the book, which would have been even more boring and tedious than a post by dudeofqueen." Wouldn't it have been better if he'd re-worded it to read: "Why didn't we offer the source for EVERY quote? We would have loved to do that. We could have added footnotes to pages or an exhaustive list of sources and dates as an appendix at the back of the book but felt it would be a bit too cumbersome, which would have been even more boring and tedious than a post by dudeofqueen. We DO have that detail and we will be posting it here

Guys, I really don't understand why are you attacking on Greg Brooks. He's just an archivist.
He does not decide on the release of a product.It all depends on the bosses of the company with which Queen signed a contract in 2011 and of course Jim Miami Beach(God Bless him)

Why are you mentioning this? The issue is that the guy comes on here and acts like a bellend, purely to get a reaction. He's clearly obsessed with this forum, and read it every day but then posts what he does.

His next post will be to "joke" about the fact there is a general and a serious discussion section, or that people don't post using their real names, like it's 1998 or something.
