I just figured I’d let everyone know that Queen are all over the iTunes Charts in hundreds of countries.

LOL. You’re late to the party. It has been like this for years. Nothing new at all.

I know... just updating everyone on Queen’s massive sales. Can you believe they sell more music in one year in the USA alone than Adam has sold in his lifetime?

I know that. They sell more than any other rock band as well. And every legacy act from the Beatles to Elvis.
No need to put Adam down. ;)

You sound rather pathetic keep pitting Adam solo against Queen when even Brian, Roger and Freddie couldn't compete with Queen stuff and nor can tons of other major bands. Adam is a solo artist who's not even released any music in four years so how you think he should be anywhere close to Queen's level in the charts and especially after the movie is beyond me.

You seem completely obsessed with what a guy you clearly don't like is doing in the charts, doesn't that strike you as strange?

Freddie had a lot of solo hits.

Mr Bad Guy No 6 in UK and Barcelona No 15, Mr Bad Guy certified Gold and Barcelona certified Silver in UK, that's hardly major hits. Freddie Mercury album did better but that was after he died.

Singles didn't chart particularly high, The Great Pretender was highest at No4, none of that competes with Queen.

Absolutely because it is still great music while Lamebirds crap plastic stuff blows

Whilst I like Adam as a person, his solo music is pretty poor.
This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net

You’re judging one country.

The Great Pretender and Living On My Own were both #1 singles in different territories.

You’re also forgetting that the highest chart position doesn’t mean the most overall sales. Some #1 songs are only in the top 100 for a few weeks. Some songs that aren’t #1 can stay in the top 100 for months and months and months.

Look at how much Adam is on social media, and the constant interviews he does that are posted. The constant attention seeking behavior. Adam’s the kind of guy who would post dumb little videos of myself on his Instagram story.

Freddie’s promotions for his Mr. Bad Guy album were via limited magazine adverts.

Let’s also keep in mind that both Mr. Bad Guy and Barcelona are things Freddie’s rock fans weren’t all into. Barcelona was #6 on the US Classical charts.

Mister Cosmic, you have nothing to prove. I believe, people here know these stats.

But since you’re so much into comparing an American pop artist to a British Rock legend from completely different decades (which isn’t sensible to begin with),
maybe you shouldn’t be stuck in Britain. Show us the numbers from the US maybe? (Adam’s home country and one of Queen‘s biggest markets)
Or Germany (Queen’s 2nd biggest market in the 80s)?
How about Australia? Other countries? I would like to see those.
