Now here’s Freddie...[/QUOTE]

This is a completely unfair comparison. The Number 1 for instance happened after Freddie had died.

The no more brothers remix.
This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net

Sales of Mr. Bad Guy were poor in the USA. I blame that on his label and perhaps even Freddie himself. No promotion was done there. Everyone knew who Freddie was, they didn’t know when his stuff would be released... only diehard fans really knew. Freddie didn’t have an Instagram to post selfie videos on.

Unfair? Your problem is that you think highest chart position means best overall sales... it doesn’t.

I’ll also say that bet Mr. Bad Guy, while only reaching #159 on the US charts, sold more copies in the USA than ‘The Original High’, a #3 album.

I’m not sure on Adam’s certifications in Germany, and I’m not sure with Freddie, either, but I know Freddie’s self-titled album was platinum in Germany.

I also only compared them in the UK because your best friend wrote this...

“Mr Bad Guy No 6 in UK and Barcelona No 15, Mr Bad Guy certified Gold and Barcelona certified Silver in UK, that's hardly major hits.”

Freddie was alive when he saw a solo song of his hit #1

You’re comparing apples and oranges. Sales aren’t close to what they have been 30+ years ago. Not even what they have been ten years ago. Numbers are going down considerably from year to year, due to streaming.

None of this is relevant anyway. It can be interesting, but the pure numbers of sales can’t be compared. The industry has changed too much.

If you want to see Freddie or Adam’s Chart positions from other countries like Germany, you can see those on the Wikipedia sites of those countries, like here:
http://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury/Diskografie
http://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Lambert/Diskografie

I look at these from pure curiosity, not to compare some of my favorite artists.

I only know of „Living on my own“. But it was a Remix, released some time after his death. What song are you talking about?

... and Mr. Bad Guy went out of print long ago.

Chart positions don’t mean how much they sold.

Freddie’s is incomplete by far.

I thought so. I guess neither is Adam‘s. Those are the stats from the point of view of that country. The rest of Freddie’s solo work played no role there. A reason, why most of the English versions never show the whole picture either.

A Nad A dam fan is probably correct.
Sad thing is if we're looking for accuracy of performed songs etc then the Adam stuff would be closer cause nobody before would be lining up for this thing without a Rock singer

I kinda feel out of place
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"
