Hey does anybody have time for a comparison of all of the versions? I'd love to, but I have no clue where my 2001 copy ended, I hope I haven't junked it after I bought the Rock Montreal release

There were two DVD versions before the 2001 release with DTS (and AC3).
One with 24/96 LPCM (a revolutionary choice for that time, probably DVD9) and this one, both with the same cover.[/QUOTE]
Wrong

Are the two commemorative DVD releases, PA-96-56-D in '97 and PA-96-568-D in '98 identical in compression and audio format?

Anything worth noting. For example I remember reading somewhere that some early versions had an editing error during Killer Queen, which was fixed for later releases. Something like I did years ago : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3TJUTdJTzg

Yeah, any release before the 2001 DVD has that editing error during KQ. Any of those on my list before 2001 have it.

There are at least two of us who independently remember about a LPCM only version of this DVD.
This suggest that maybe you are wrong.
