Again, I understand not everyone feels the way I do. I find it disrespectful and distasteful that someone comes here just to purposely spam and promote AL, while ignoring the legacy of Freddie and Queen. There's only two people here who do that. Deliberate ignorance.
Sure, if I had money I'd go you Montreux to see Freddie's statue and other things too, the 24th is a day of reflection for me, doesn't mean I think of Freddie as a family member or anything like that. I'm sure if AL died suddenly and horribly like Freddie, his fans would be heartbroken, heck I'd be sad about myself. Some people mourn public figures. I was devastated when Bowie and George Michael passed away, because it was so unexpected. They left the world with some great music which is living on, and it's my hope that it will for decades yet.
I lost my father this year, he was my best friend, so I'm aware of what losing someone close is like. What I feel for Freddie is nothing compared to the loss of my father. Losing someone close is awful, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'm not that big of a hateful bitch.
I don't see how you can compare Queen and Freddie fans to Glamberts. It's not the same at all. I don't see Brian May fans tracking flights, crying foul over the least little thing, about how Brian smells. Sometimes the word Glambert can have bad connotations. I know you are an AL fan, but you are usually reasonable, and you and I have only started to disagree heavily in the last few weeks, and I'm sure I get on your nerves, but would you say you hate me because you and I disagree. I don't think you are that hysterical thankfully.
SweetCaroline knows full well what she is doing on Queen boards , stirring the shit and playing the victim. It's been going on for years. Her game is up. She's unhappy some people here can see right through her bullshit.
I really don't know what Brian or Roger's fans do or how far they would go, some of Adam's fans have gone nuts over meeting Brian though so maybe they're just that type of people who are over the top about a lot of things. I don't really get it personally, I've no desire to meet famous people in general and out of them Brian would be the one I'd be happiest to meet but I'd never go out of my way so it would only ever happen if it was pure accident and the main reason is because of his interest in animal rights, that's a subject close to my heart and I'd probably enjoy chatting about that with him. I've no desire to meet Adam personally, I like him as a person and love his voice but I wouldn't have the slightest thing in common with him and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for a meet and greet with anyone, really not my thing so I don't really understand it in other people but each to their own if it makes them happy.
I don't hate you or anyone, opinions are just that and not a reason to hate someone, at least for me, I just get tired of the same arguments about what appears to me to be nothing important but then that's subjective as well so maybe I just don't feel as strongly about some things as others do.
I agree about losing someone close and I'm sorry about your dad, I lost my dad a few years ago, he was ill for a couple of years and I wouldn't wish watching someone go downhill like that on anyone.
