Also a couple of days after Sunday last week. But it has been unavailable for the last couple of days again. I also noticed a lack of participation in the few days it did work. Maybe a lot of people have given up on it because for a few weeks it only worked on a Sunday. A thought I had which may not be accurate was that queenonline is doing it deliberately so they can eventually claim its not worth the trouble anymore and just delete it completely. Conspiracy maybe but still a tactic that might work. I don't know, hope it will be stable again in the future.

I managed to log in last night, but I couldn't post or send messages. I did notice someone saying "we're back" but it's down again.

There are a few bands with thriving message boards, but they’re few and far between, and even those ones are in a slow decline. The rise of social media has changed the paradigm. Discussion of the band can take place on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, whilst discussion of unrelated topics is probably unnecessary. The idea that it’s nice to discuss world events with like-minded individuals is a myth, because actually the only thing that Queen fans have in common is that they like Queen. Counterintuitively, plenty of Queen fans are racist, homophobic, xenophobic etc.
QOL was becoming a bit of a cesspit for paranoia, conspiracy theories and racism. Those people with those views have the right to have them but they probably don’t give the impression of the band that the powers that be want, and so I’m not surprised there’s no appetite to fix the technical issues.
I personally encouraged them to pull the plug around a year ago, or at least to scrap all the non-Queen sections. It’s not about censorship, it’s about damage limitation.
