I think Brians guitar solo in You Don't Fool Me is one of his best solos ever.

But I think the solo does not really fit with the song.

Both the song and the guitar solo are great but I don't think they go together.

Does anyone else feel Brians solo in fool me feels out of place ?

Some quotes from Brian about You don't fool me:

comment from another fan thinking it's one of the best solos. I also am in love with this solo and think it's one of his best.

You would think that the comparison is odd, but nonetheless I compare it to the Great king Rat solo. It is another solo from which I can't get enough, another really hypnotic one.
Brian at his best. Kind of stuff he's doing in Resurrection and in the Queenified I was born to love you. (and he nailed this one on the asian QAL tours. I wish they would play Great King Rat on the next tour... One can dream. Or.... You don't fool me... Maybe the style of Adam who could bring something to it ?? )

Interesting interview, towards the end, Brian and Roger talk a bit about You don't fool me as well.

I don't see why you think it doesn't fit? It's a great solo and I thought the progression behind it breaks the song up nicely.

It reminds me of keep yourself alive solo. Very similar. Both solo are great.

On the "stretching things out" point Brian makes, I thought the vocal sounded stretched - slightly to its detriment. And I don't think - if that is true - the track needed stretching.

My favourite solo by a mile. I love it!

I'm hearing some striking similarities to the solo on Thin Lizzy's (Live and Dangerous version of) Still In Love With you

It is a great solo. It does not feel out of place. Case dismissed.

It's just epic as the solo in It's Late. It takes the song into another direction. Amazing.

Interesting. Are you another of these fans who consider songs like "Headlong" a highlight of the "Innuendo" album and basically need a fucking ear transplant? Go to Moscow, you'll get one.

Correct.

It is a beautiful thing.

Side two of Made In Heaven is absolutely perfect, with not a single note out of place.
