But you asked why they did that song and I am sure it was because Adam sang it on Idol. That was the only reason I mentioned Idol. I can't leave Idol out, if that is probably why he chose it. It was a song that got a lot of acclaim and he sang it quite a bit after Idol. How do I not mention that? You can think what you like, I thought it was a great version. YMMV. Sometimes it is just fun to sing something totally outside the realm of the Queen catalog. Everyone was surprised and talking about it and if Brian and Roger also had this great connection to the song, it seems like it was a good choice. I thought the performance looked like a lot of fun for the guys and it was done very well. I enjoyed it immensely as it was something new for a change.
It wasn't even explained why they picked it, just that Lambert suggested it.
Why are you so adamant that it was picked because of Idol? It's that supposed to make it seem endearing to Queen and rock fans?
If Brian and Roger had a connection to the song you say, after I expl6 the connection they had to Zeppelin. AL covering Zeppelin on a talent show is nowhere near the connections Queen have with zeppelin.
No, even Brian and Roger can't make AL singing the song better, in my opinion, I'd go as far as saying it's one of the worst covers I've heard all sing. I think it shows his weakness.
That’s another thing Adam Worshippers always do... answer things for Adam that he hadn’t even answered himself.

Of course, they ( SweetCaroline and snifflese ) are invested in him, they want to speak for him. AL probably came to them in a dream to tell them. LMAO.

Adam clearly loves the song, he picked it on Idol, he sang it on the Idol tour and throughout the Glamnation tour so it's reasonable to assume he just likes to perform it, suggested it to B & R and they thought yeah why not. Brian started to play it at a show in 2015 as a joke and he's said previously they've done songs in rehearsal that they've never actually played on tour so it's likely they've messed around in soundcheck with it at some time as well and just decided to have fun with something a bit different. At least that's my theory but since Adam didn't say why they chose it I wouldn't know for sure.

What’s up with him bending backwards and then thrusting his hips forward and back (simulating anal sex perhaps?) during that song? Those moves are so damn lame.

I wouldn't know but it's a sexual song so maybe he's interpreting the lyrics how he feels them.

Does anyone else notice he walks slowly everywhere? It’s as if he doesn’t even want to do it, but needs a paycheck. His body language truly is similar to that of someone in a karaoke bar aside from the dumb pelvic thrusts.

It is a sexual song, but those moves are just so damn terrible... Adam’s a poor dancer, I imagine you know that.
On a side note, Adam always seems to think love is about sex. Even during Somebody To Love, a song about loneliness and wanting a loving relationship, he does stupid pelvic thrusts. I imagine he has a lot of sex on tours. It’s a shame that he doesn’t understand love yet, no wonder he is so very lonely.

Clearly the people at the shows have a very different opinion, no one's said anything like that from all the posts about the shows in OZ, you don't like him so you find fault with every little thing, just because he doesn't run round the stage like a Dave Grohl. Of course he wants to be there he loves doing the shows, you really have no idea who he is.

Don't insult all those drunk Karaoke singers. They surely don't want to be compared to Lamebird. Most of them sing better then him anyways

That's the thing that bothers me most about QAL. He alsmost is making fun of those more serious songs. And those songs are always Freddie songs. SO May surely would be against taking the piss out oif his own songs. But if it is a Freddie song it is fine. Yeah right.
Didn't he introduce STL as "Someone to fuck" sometime? WHat a disgusting piece of shit he is

Doesn't come close to some of the stuff you post, so what does that make you?

I see the mean girls are out in full force today. I am sure Spike would love the fact you are so dismissive of him. Not sure how you can dismiss someone who has been on the stage with them since 1984. He also has done work with Roger and Brian outside of Queen proper. Just because you are not a principal doesn't mean that you are not a member of Queen. Heaven forbid we name someone who isn't a member of the four! You people are brutal in every way, not a bit of kindness or civility among the lot of you.

That's pretty much the definition of not being a member of Queen. He is a paid employee. A valued one, I'm sure, but an employee nonetheless.
