Nice to see you've taken time out from stuffing your fat face with doughnuts to grace us with your presence. We are desperately in need of a competent police officer and you've set yourself up nicely there.
There's a bit of jam on your cheek chap - wipe it off will you?
Re:

But, of course, you do? May put the kybosh on a comprehensive box set in the early 2000's. Love him or hate him, Brooksy has presented some fantastic projects which have then been tweaked and fucked up by His Loopiness to the point that they are, in most cases, unfit for purpose. What he *says* **HAPPENS**; why are you so reluctant to accept that?
Are you fucking him?
>since it would force you to erode your hatred for Brian May.
I don't hate him at all. I respect May as one of the most talented guitarists in Rock history. I despise and lament his choices, hipocricy and UTTER lack of creativity whilst moarlising to anyone that will listen or oppose him.
I do hate *you*, however, for being such a pathetic (obvious) sycophant and appointing yourself as some sort of moral compass. You're neither important nor of the value that you make yoursef out to be.
There's still jam on your cheek........

It's your unwillingness to except that some people on here have some understanding (more than you) of how contractual obligations work.
Yes He or More likely Queen productions and or Jim Beach but not necessarily Brian May on his own stopped a box set release. But at what point was it stopped and for what reason. You don't know.
As for adverts. There are many that use other artists music. David Bowie hasn't popped up to push the use of his music in an ad campaign, but his record company certainly have.
You seem to think Brian May has complete control over Queen, your talking crap. Do you really believe a song like Some Body To Love is under his control as an advertisement soundtrack when he hadn't written it. One of two things have happened there. Either as I pointed out to you before the way the songs are licensed to the record company means that they can ok their use or Jim Beach, Mary Austin and Freddie's sister have pushed for its use. The same goes for songs written by other band members wanting there songs used. The more likely reason is the first, record company licensing.
Regarding your friend with the cricket team. She maybe as nice and courteous as you say, in which case you're reporting of the incident should have reflected that instead of claiming Brian walked in and made demands.

As usual you are trying to get off topic you sad fuck. We were talking about May's behaviour as a guest in a hotel towards other guests not about releasing music. SO try again. You surely will come back with another lame comment about why May did the right thing by forcing a cricket team having fun listening to Queen songs.
If it was his own song I believe there would be another Instagram story and a foto with the team. This guy is so towfaced it is totally painful. And I also doubt he was much different in the 70'/80's. Lots of pple were saying he was difficult to work with - especially some fellow musicians even those in his own band

he really can't win with you (and your hate-mod) can he?
think about it for a minute:
if he'd decided to exercise with the Cricket Team with Queen songs playing...YOU would be the one calling him an "arrogant, conceited, prick" for "showing off" to his own tunes.
only truly sad part? YOU actually enjoy these "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't" occasions, don't you?

Another lame try to hijack the topic. THis is no "what if he did what". It is about WHAT HE REALLY did.
And there is just no justification for that no matter how you twist and turn it. Why is it so hard for you to acknowledge that he did sth wrong. It is frightening that you lot seem to be blind followers regardless if he is wrong or if he is right. He was wrong with the cameraman and he surely was wrong in the hotel. If I was the cricket players I'd kick his lame old ass. He even pussed out and sent his sec guy. To a WOMEN'S team. What a coward.

why is anyone who dares to disagree with you "hijacking" anything? what utter rubbish.
i couldn't give a fuck about Brian May one way or another...for the last time: my favourite band members were Freddie, then Roger.
but YOU seem completely incapable of grasping that. key difference between me and you? while i may not like many of the Queen projects of the last decade - i fully respect THEIR right to do so. YOU - on the other hand, think you have some God-given right to veto their work.
Newsflash: they can't/won't hear you - and even if they could, your opinion is as irrelevant now as it's always been. no one in QPL is interested in the ill-considered murmurings of a bunch of haters whose heads were inserted firmly up their own shit-filled arses, since November 1991.
this thread is 100% about YOUR hatred of Brian May. your claim of anything else is bullshit. you know it, we know it, Brian probably knows it too.

This thread is about May wanting to shut down a cricket team listening to Queen you assclown. I do not Hate him you twat. I did not start the thread.
I just think he completely lost the plot. YOU are hijacking the thread because you are too stupid to say that I am right and May was wrong.
SO what do you think about him trying to shut down a cricket team listening to Queen music. Please do answer that. I am sure you will chicken out of any valid answer as usual

Difficult to know what happened (and why) without hearing May’s version of events, but I suspect the fact that a lot of the team didn’t recognise him contributed. I think that if they all knew who he was they’d have felt a bit awkward playing his music in front of him - it almost feels like a bit of a piss-take. Instead they were in the unfortunate situation of playing the man’s music in front of him without realising who he was.
I’m sure they weren’t hugely offended. The youngsters who prefer Bieber to Queen will have at least seen the new A Star Is Born and will recall Bradley Cooper’s character saying he can’t stand listening to his own music.
Or maybe he was just being a prick. It’s hard to be sure nowadays.

Why is playing Queen music in a hotel awkward????? It is not May's hotel but he surely acted as if it was
