I'm from now on, a Freddie Mercury, John Deacon+Queen fan....
What are they trying to pull off.

still not following you.
as for the Australia Gig:
wtf is wrong with repeating the Live Aid set for the Australia Fire Aid charity concert?
i think it's kind of fitting to revisit the Live Aid setlist concept in that way - for that particular reason.
it appears you're just griping for the sake of it. you're telling us you'd rather begrudge the $7m raised for the communities who lost everything - for some weird Queen Purist notion?
utterly perverse to criticise that gig. grow up.

Andres_Clip "What are they trying to pull off?" Waddaya think you fool, raising $ for a devastated land d and people. Let me introduce you to those that I know who last their homes and others who very nearly did. God bless them all. Senseless twat!!

Should've just played "Put Out The Fire" and some other tunes, instead of doing the Live Aid set list. One can say it's in poor taste to try rehashing that stuff, but it's Maylor+ we're talking about here...

It sound stupid to repeat something but it isn't....

Queen+ Adam Lambert are mid flow in their "Rhapsody" Tours of America, Australasia & Europe. The whole tours are geared up towards the success of the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" That said movie, that happens to climax with Queen's iconic 1985 Live Aid performance... why not recreate it? a bit self promotion going on there.. good on them!!!

Disgusting that May & Taylor can destroy Queen's epic Live Aid performance by now doing the same set in Australia with that fat freak Lambert.
Who the hell does May think he is patronising all us Queen fans.?

wow Gerry!
you've completely failed to understand what happened.
what better way to help the Fire Aid charity than to perform as per Live Aid.
It was helping to raise $7m for those who have have lost family/friends/homes/businesses in months of bush fires.
there was nothing patronising about the performance.
this is perhaps ONE thread where an anti-May/Taylor/Lambert comment really doesn't belong.

Are you for fucking real? This was for a good cause!

Yes its a good cause but Queen are not the only band there so wind your neck in.
May is partly there for the animals and the other half is to show his pet Lambert off to Australia.
Recreating the Live Aid set was a tacky thing to do and i bet you Lambert cannot steal the show like Freddie did!

I will wind nothing in. Wasn't tacky in the slightest.
Freddie is obviously still our number 1 man.

He doesn't need to show "his pet" off in Australia, Adam's extremely popular there already. He wasn't there to steal the show or compete with Freddie he was there to help the cause like everyone else in that concert and there was nothing tacky about doing that set for a good cause.
