.... it is completely laughable to even compare Lamebird to MM. If you want to listen to Queen songs as they are supposed to be this is the man.
Anyone who said he is stiff and has no stage presence is totally off. He has worked on himself (I had my doubts from videos n the past where indeed he was a lil woodend) but he totally worked on himself. Completely another galaxy than Lamebird. Makes me even think more "WTF do they see in AL"??? And before you say he is an impersonater - he clearly is not. No Yellow jacket no moustache and surely no crown. He is the man for Queen songs. Fuck Lamebird with his powerless paperthin yodeling voice

To each his own. No one says you have to go and see the concert. Go see MM and enjoy him, but you don't have to crap on Adam in doing so.

But then what else would he do with his day if he can't start the umpteenth thread about his continued anger management issues?
On the bright side, it's nice to know he stopped posting his hate on the internet for a couple hours.

Aside from the official narrative that they don't want a copycat (*i can truly see the reasons why this is valid)
But accepting the weight and timbre differences - yeah i can understand why one would prefer the songs given their proper weight.
Adam is pretty fantastic on a handful of songs, but makes others sound very paper thin and absurd at times.
Anyways my theory was that they've lost high frequency hearing and somehow his shrill delivery is the only way the guys in the group can hear the rock songs cutting through. Though they have lost high frequency discernment - they've at least been able to hear some of it overcompensated.
It's like the old ladies on the street suffering from vision loss (macular degeneration; generally) ....they overcompensate for the redness and lustre they can't see by dyeing it REDDER and REDDDDER!
But what comes out looks clownish to the average person. It's that the "machinery" is no longer giving accurate reports to the noggin/nervous system.
Similarly, the band likely hears a very reduced Version of Lambert.
At least ...that's a theory.
Otherwise they'd really think before putting the kid like voice out there on rockers like Dragon Attack, Stone Cold Crazy etc.
Though he was surprisingly good with IT'S LATE ...prob cause it's in such a high register.
Anyways that's all.
Where did you see Martel?.... i hope I'm not mistaken that you imply LIVE - *IN PERSON*, correct?
I haven't had the chance

That wouldn't account for all the fans who love his high voice though, they can't all have hearing loss in the high frequency. Having seen them live I personally think he sounds different than on recordings especially on songs like UP which was one I never liked on vids but really loved live. Some sound engineer once explained what he thought was the reason back in 2010 after seeing him live.

Marc doesn’t have the natural charisma/stage presence that Freddie/Adam had/has! And no playful or funny sense of humor! He sounds like Freddie but I don’t think he can stretch his voice and be innovative with it. I did see him live in QE but it was back in 2012.

It's like everyday I come on Queenzone to read the latest topics and, it's just the same topic. Over and over and over. The same fucken arguments and debates.

I have to agree with your statement from the Vocal Battle thread. Martel at least sounds like Rock, Lambert sounds like some Las Vegas Musical (not my cup of tea). And, of course, Freddie kills both of them with ease! Because he's Freddie fucking Mercury.
Since this place is infested with AL cultists and their "allies", you better just leave them alone. Why even waste so much of your time arguing with the Church of Lambertology? I was mildly amused by the forum shitstorms, with them bitching and moaning, but it gets old fast.

So you think Adam Lambert touring Stadiums with original members of Queen is "some Musical" but a tribute act mimicking Freddie is "Rock"?! Only on QueenZone!

The only shitstorms are caused by people like you and runner_70.
Simple facts for you to work with and understand.
Freddie is not touring because he is dead.
Marc Martel is not in the band because they don't want him in the band for two possible reasons, one they don't want someone impersonating Freddie. Why would they. Two they actually get on very well with Adam Lambert.
Adam Lambert is in the band and has made a succes of a difficult job. Brian and Roger are happy to be out there playing.
And last of all you are not in the band, you are not selling tickets, so you have no say in what they choose to do.

And the person who started this thread is a Freddie cultist - not a Queen fan in the least.
This place needs a lobotomy. A thread like this would've been taken down and its starter banned on literally any other music forum.

Nuremberg yesterday. Go see him. He is far from a copycat and his stagepresence is amazing. He worked a lot if you compare him to old videos where indeed he looked pretty wooden which is what Glamtarts refer to. WHile he got better and better Lamebird got worse and worse. And I agree that Maylor might be half deaf if they think he is any good.
I can see why the did not chose Martel though. Technically he sings indeed better than Freddie as he does not shy the highest notes which Freddie did sometimes I give the Freddie haters that. They might fear he looks and sounds way too similar to Freddie which might bring up critics as well. Musically he is amazing playing awesome piano and lil guitar. he is becoming huge here and plays way larger arenas than Lamebird with his solo crap who is playing clubs
